The storm let out a huge roar; the trees danced furiously in the strong wind. The icy, cold rain beat roughly against the ground. The water of the river harshly crashed against the once rough, dry rocks bordering it, dampening them.

My black work boots left prints in the mushy mud of the... tree grounds. The rain loudly beat off my jacket as I trudged on. My hair, pants, and shirt were soaked.

The sound of thunder boomed across the dark and starry morning sky. I looked up to see a firework of lightning. I stood there, looking at the sky with amazement.

I was making my way home from the hospital, where I had visited my severely injured friend. I wasn't expecting a storm like this...

I kept hearing crackling of branches and leaves behind me. I kept looking back each time, just to see nothing. No one. No thing. Nada. Just plain 0.

I started to just assume it was the rain, but then I started to feel as if someone was following me. I kept on heading home, when about a mile away, I heard footsteps aside from mine, and again I heard the crackling.

I stopped. I stood still, not making a single movement nor noise. Then all of a sudden, a hand grabbed onto my arm.
