Chapter Three: Meeting The Group

Chapter Three:

~ 3rd Peron POV ~

Aurora sat beside Damon on one couch with Zelda, Elena and Stefan on the other, waiting for their company to arrive. Aurora whooshed to her car to grab a muzzle, just I case Zelda decided to play dirty. Damon held her down as she slashed around, poor thing hated that muzzle but they finally got it on her. Damon smiled at aurora after, giving her a quick kiss. Aurora returned it happily, but Elena could tell she was hiding something. Stefan was mesmerized with her almost as much as Damon, sitting with Elena but eyes locked on her. Could Stefan be jealous of the wonderful vampire who had Damon wrapped around her finger? Stefan always got all the girls, it was something Damon hated. But could aurora stir things up for the Salvatore brother? Only time would tell. A knock came to the door as Damon went to answer it, aurora furiously holding Zelda down on the couch. Tyler, Caroline, Alaric, bonnie, and Jeremy came into the house a little skeptic, they had been vague on the details if this meeting.

“Hello” everyone said to each other, eyes locked on Aurora.

“And you are?” Caroline said a little snootily, pulling Tyler back. But all the boys’ eyes were locked on her.

“I'm aurora, it’s a pleasure to meet you all” she smiled politely, shaking all their hands.

“This is my girlfriend” Damon smirked, putting his arm around Aurora’s waist. Caroline’s face fell a bit, causing aurora to smirk at her.

“Damon” Bonnie growled a little at him.

“Oh not to worry Bonnie, I'm a vampire” Aurora simple stated, showing her fangs a little. “He won’t do me any harm”

“Oh I'm sorry, Damon isn’t a favorite among some” bonnie smirked.

“I'll make sure he stays in line don’t you worry” Aurora smiled back, Bonnie actually smiled at her. Elena watched as Aurora became the talk of the evening, winning everyone’s hearts easily. Except for Caroline. She even noticed that Stefan was no longer by her side, but up talking with Aurora. Who was this mysterious girl? Should she be worried? No, no that’s a silly thought, its Aurora she should be worried about with Damon. She was just being insecure.

“You are running from Klaus too?” Bonnie asked.

“Yes, he killed my family and turned me like so many back then. He wanted an army of vampires, I only barely escaped myself. And yes I know about Elena and Katherine and everything, I’ve learnt a lot in my life” Aurora smiled sweetly.

“Wow, I'm sorry for you” Tyler smiled sadly.

“That was a long time ago but I appreciate it” Aurora replied. Damon never leaving her side once the entire night.

“You know so much about what we’re going through and you magically appear out of nowhere and instantly have Damon wrapped around your finger. It’s amazing” Stefan smiled. She batted her eyelashes at him.

“Always a pleasure to be help. Things couldn’t have fallen in place any better I think” she giggled. “So you guys have Katerina trapped in the tomb?”

“Yes but it wasn’t easy, we almost didn’t succeed” Jeremy answered her.

“Well I believe you guys are a lot more then what you seem to be. So brave and strong for such an odd group of friends” everyone joined in her laughter. Elena finally stood up and joined in the group standing around talking and having drinks. Aurora’s eyes sparkled at the mention of Katherine’s name but nobody caught it.

“Well I thank you all for welcoming me so warmly into your family. You are all great to spend time with and I am happy to be a part of everything. But I must get going, it is quite late” Aurora announced a little later. Caroline looked a little too happy at her leaving. Protests were heard from around the room as everyone begged her to stay a while longer.

“Come on Aurora it’s only early” Tyler smiled.

“We’re having too much fun to leave now” Bonnie giggled.

“We haven’t had this much fun in ages” Stefan nodded.

“Well I suppose we could stay a little longer, if that’s alright Damon” Aurora smiled sweetly.

“Of course darling, ill drive you home after everyone leaves” Damon agreed happily. Everyone “ooh” and “aww”ed at how cute he was to her. She had him completely hooked. They kissed softly as everyone cheered. They told her all of their plans, secrets, worries, everything. John and Isobel were lurking around, Katherine was in the tomb, and Elijah had come back after Damon had supposedly killed him.

“So you’re real birthparents are running around, John gave you a dagger to kill Elijah, Elijah is snooping around town looking for a witch burning site, and Katerina is trapped in the tomb to sum it all up?” Aurora asked, counting things off on her fingers.

“Precisely” Alaric smiled, this girl was smart.

“My girl, you are perfect” Damon smiled sweetly, holding her back against his chest so she could still face everyone. Caroline was playing with Zelda more then she was into the conversation but nobody seemed to mind.

“We will figure it all out, we just need to do some digging” Elena smiled.

“Yes and I am quite the digger” Aurora smiled as they shared a laugh together; Elena was warming up to her quickly like everyone else.

“No offense, vampire or not, wouldn’t it be wise to just stay and help protect the girls?” Tyler scoffed. Damon started to laugh; he knew what would happen next. Aurora stepped out of Damon’s arms, whistled, and circled Tyler. Zelda came up beside her snarling and growling, baring her canines. Zelda went at him first, snapping and clawing. He jumped out of the way, a smirk on his face until Aurora came from behind and through him. She jumped on top of him hissing and held him down by his throat. His fist pounded the ground twice in defeat.

“Tap! TAP!” Tyler wheezed as Aurora let him go.

“Still think I can’t hold my own” aurora smirked as the room burst into cheers.

“That was incredible, you can definitely fight” Bonnie clapped.

“How do you think we survive without being caught for almost 200 years?” aurora smiled.

“But I do think it’s getting late, and I should get you home Aurora” Damon smiled as everyone agreed. They all said their goodbyes as Zelda and aurora hopped into her Camaro and Damon drove them home.
