Asteria| Rip Hunter

The First

"What is stronger than the human heart, which shatters over and over, and still lives"

The first time Rip hunter had seen Asteria she had been standing over him as he bled, her dark skin came out of the darkness of the night with wind blowing in her hair as the godess she was,he had been beaten and shot with his life draining slowly from him and this wonderful woman literally became the light in the dark.

How he got the state he was in hadn't been known to her at the time but as she towered over the man on the floor she couldn't help but feel a tug in her heart compelling her towards him,unbeknownst to her the tug was a fate she could not ignore it was a plan set in motion lifetimes before this one and in this moment it was becoming reality, she walked towards him slowly unaware of his intentions the society she was raised in despite being half heartedly peaceful still had its flaws.

She walked towards him with such grace and beauty he could barely comprehend and as she knelt down beside him his wounds still seeping but he couldn't feel a thing her presence soothing the chaos within his mind instantly, as if his world came crashing down the woman in front of him began to rush as she checked over his injured body instantly seeing the damage he had suffered and worrying for his life.

As she checked over him she noticed the blood seeping through his shirt and instantly began rushing to his aid, the man in front of her groaned in pain as she pushed her hand upon his wounded torso putting pressure onto the wound to keep him from bleeding out,it was then that she pulled out her phone and began dialling 999 but her fast paced dialling was cut short when he took her phone from her hands

"No Police,I just need you to take me somewhere" The Stranger told her

"Yeah, a Hospital" she snatched her phone back from his blood stained hands and placing in her back pocket 

"No please" to this she just huffed and went back to doing what she doing

After their brief conversation Asteria sat in front of him silently as she ripped a piece of his shirt that had yet to be stained with blood and wrapped it around his bleeding side, after tying it with a tight knot she held her hand out towards him, he lifted his hand up painfully slotting into hers almost perfectly as she used her strength to pull him from the ground and wrap her arm around his waist to make sure her held up fine.

He groaned as they walked with his blood slowly slipping onto her leather jacket every now and again, causing her to return the groans he constantly dealt out with a slight muttering under her breath of 'this is going to be so hard to wash out'  and the occasional 'This is what i get for being a good Samaritan I fucking loved this jacket' , he gave her directions every few blocks eventually leading them to the outskirts of the city in which they had resided before. 

"Here." he spoke his voice and head getting lighter from the loss of blood 

"This is the outskirts, there's nothing here" she retorted as she placed him on the ground and looked around the empty field to find something, even a slither of hope that she hadn't just walked a man to his death

"There... is... something" he spoke from the ground as he eyes landed on him he pushed something in his hand that she couldn't see to which it revealed a cloaked ship behind her, she jumped as the ship appeared suddenly and stepped backwards away from it.

As the cargo bay door began opening Asteria still stood in shock that the man she had helped seemed to be a complete and utter mystery, the doors now fully open triggered the man in front of her to slowly and painfully stand from his slouched position on the floor and began making his way towards the ship.

Noticing his very obvious struggle to get to the ship on his own Asteria took it upon herself to rush towards him and put his arm over her and her hand situated around his waist as she led him towards the ship.

"Captain hunter are you alright?" a monotone voice from above startled Asteria as they boarded 

"Gideon, please instruct" He stopped for a second contemplating "Sorry what's your name" 

"Asteria" she replied 

"Gideon please instruct Miss Asteria towards the medical bay" before he went back into his fugue state of pain 

As 'Gideon' directed Asteria towards the med bay she began speculating all the things that this man could have done to get shot, he very obviously either had a lot of money or worked for a company that had ships like this [ones which she'd never seen before mind you] 

When she arrived at the med bay the man she had been carrying had grown increasingly more heavy, looking at him she had noticed that he had become unconscious, rushing quickly she put him onto one of the tables and looked upwards

"Gideon,He passed out" her voice laced with concern and breathlessness as the AI replied

"Ive already begun healing him ma'am he has suffered many injuries but I belive him to recover fully" 

letting out a sigh of relief she sat next to him and watched his unconscious form be healed slowly by the machines, placing her blood stained hand on her head and sighing slowly before she laid down on the edge of the bed and slept soundly.

She awoke with a start her head pounding and her heart hammering in her chest as the nightmare of death plagued her silently, breathing in and out calming herself as she sat in the chair

"Gideon how long have I been out" She asked tiredly

"About 4 hours now miss Asteria" The AI replied "Captain Hunter is to awake soon would you like me to give you directions out" she continued on 

"Yes please" she says before thinking slightly "Actually Gideon do you have a piece of paper lying around" a smirk on her face as Gideon opened a draw in the Medical bay before sauntering over and writing down a small note for 'Captain Hunter' and then placing it in his jacket pocket and leaving the med bay

After following the AIs instructions she exited the ship Gideon had told her earlier to be the Waverider the morning light shimmering against her skin as she smiled to herself before walking through the field and into the morning light towards her home.

A/N this was longer than i intended tbh but timegodess moments yo, this is sort of a prequel to LOT and I will incorperate more moments later into the story but i thought of a thing to do where i would take you through the most important moments of TimeGodess before savage happened
