Finally, I'm done with all that rogue business. The rogues are getting really bad. I need to start learning to deal with them and the other problems now. My dad is stepping down as alpha soon and I'll need to be able to care of things after his retirement. At least I'll have a mate to even me out even if it isn't the mate the Moon Goddess picked for me.
I'm pulled out of my thoughts as the limo comes to a stop. Well at least I get to see my new mate. Her scent is faint, but I let my nose take me to where it's the strongest, the kitchen. Marilyn is making meatloaf for the pack dinner I presume. The kitchen is a complete mess. Dirty dishes and random ingredients everywhere. She didn't even pause as I entered the room.
"Marilyn?"
"Y-yes Alpha Jason?"
"Where is my mate?"
"The L-Luna went for a run."
"Run?"
"Y-yes."
"Hm, thought she was a human,"
"W-well, can I just say I think it's mighty big of you to accept your mate even though you thought she was human," hmm maybe Nathan was right.
"Did you expect anything less of me?"
"N-n-not at all Alpha!"
"Do you know where she went for this run of her's?"
"S-she left through the woods behind the pack house after lunch."
Without another word I left the kitchen and started towards the garden. Just before I could make it out the back door a whore that goes by the name of Heather blocked my way.
She was wearing shorts that were waaaay too short and a shirt that didn't leave much to the imagination. She did a hair flip that was supposed to be sexy but just made her seem more desperate than the ton of makeup globbed on her face did.
"Why, hello there Jason baby," her sexy voice is just plain sad.
"Don't call me that. It's Alpha Jason to you. Out of my way."
"But Jason, don't you wanna sneak off somewhere private so I can give you your birthday present?" She then had the audacity to place her hands on my chest.
"I've already gotten the greatest present, my mate."
"Then how about for old times sake, huh?"
"Have you seen Alexandra?"
"Who? Oh, you mean that bitch orphan," after those words left her lips I picked her up by what little shirt she had and threw her against the closest wall.
"YOU ARE NOT TO SPEAK ABOUT MY MATE THAT WAY, YOU WHORE."
I stormed out of the house and into the trees before undressing myself. I change into my wolf in an instant then pick up my clothes in my mouth. Wait, there's a smell I don't recognize. It smells of an Alpha. An Alpha, in our territory without permission. I've never smelled this scent and I've met all the Alphas around this area. I also smell Eric's scent, what a great third in command, dealing with problem before the Alpha even knows. Strange, I don't smell Alexandra's scent.
Huh, the Alpha's scent vanished. This is so weird. Now I do smell Alexandra's scent. What the hell is going on?!
Eric? What's going on? I thought I smelled an Alpha, but the scent is gone.
Oh, don't worry about it. I took care of stuff.
Nice man, you're the best third in command I could ask for.
