Your POV
Seeing Ewoks prepare for battle was something I never thought I would see. The small little creature that seemed to be the leader of the Ewoks stood on a fallen tree, shouting things I could only believe to be encouraging. Today was the day. Today was the day that hopefully the Empire's wrath would fall.
"Are you ready to go Princess?" Han said, placing a hand on my shoulder.
I turned my attention from the Ewoks, and looked at Han. I couldn't help but smile.
"I'm as ready as I'll ever be," I said.
"That's my girl," Han said, placing his hand on my back and leading me down from the tall trees.
Leia and Chewy stood at the base of one of the large trees, two speeders sitting next to them. I smiled at the two as Han and I reached them. We were all pretty much decked out in every weapon that we had. I had my lightsaber strapped to my thigh over my camouflaged pants, Han had his blaster pistol like always secured tightly to his holster, Chewy had his crossbow, and Leia had a blaster rifle strapped to her back. I smiled again at our decked out crew.
"Lets do this," I said, hopping onto one of the speeders.
Han and I rode together, and Chewy and Leia did the same. With our vehicles going max speed it wouldn't take us long to reach the outpost the rebels had set up. We didn't have many men, but we had enough to put up one hell of a fight.
The wind tore at my face, and I was glad I had my helmet on keeping my hair from gathering in my face. Han's body was warm against my back, and his arms were securely wrapped around my waist. We didn't feel the need to talk, and for the time being I thought it was better for me to concentrate on the trials ahead.
So many things could go wrong, we just had to hope everything went smoothly. Hopefully the Stormtroopers didn't know we were here, but I doubted that would be the case. All we had to do was infiltrate the shield, and destroy it, which was probably a lot more easily said than done. Sure we would eventually have the support of the Ewok troops, but until then we had to hold our own against who knew how many troopers. That was only the beginning of my tasks.
Somehow, I had to face my father. I had come to terms with the fact, I couldn't leave Luke to do it alone. While we might have shared different opinions on the matter, I would not let Vader get the best of my brother. I had already made preparations to get to Vader's lair, it just depended on when I thought the time was right.
Butterflies began to form in my stomach, so I pushed the thoughts away, no use in getting worked up over nothing. Before I knew it we had reached our destination, and Han and I got off of our speeder. As we arrived various rebel soldiers stood a bit straighter, and looked at us with eager determination. Their enthusiasm warmed my heart.
I waited for Leia and Chewy to arrive before I started discussing our situation and plans. As the two pulled up, I stood in front of the group, Han by my side.
"Soldiers, our fight today is crucial, and what we do effects many others," I began. "I'm not going to lie, it won't be easy in the slightest, in fact some of you may not escape with your lives. However, I can ensure you that if we do go down, we will go down fighting. If the Empire thinks they can defeat us without a fight, they've got another thing coming. With that said, I want to thank you all for volunteering on this mission. We wouldn't even be able to attempt our assault if it weren't for you all."
I continued my speech for a while, making sure the rebels were motivated and ready to fight their best, then I let Han and Leia discuss our battle plans.
"Our main goal on this mission is stealth, if the Empire doesn't see us coming they won't have time to call for backup," Leia began.
"Our goal is to infiltrate the shield generator, and blow it up," Han added. "As soon as we get rid of that shield Lando's squad can destroy the Death Star, and for good this time."
