The first day of school has always been a drag, but now even more since I'm now just starting high school. There are always those kids exchanging their amazing summer stories on the first day. They brag to anyone who could take a breath, well, except for me. I'm the odd one out just because I'm the only orphan that has lived in Luxen, Washington for years. Everyone in this town probably knows everyone else's grandparents. When you live in a town in the middle of the woods, with only less than 700 people, you get to know each other, and quickly.

Luxen is the town where everyone has a grand ole family and friends that literally live less than five minutes away. Not me though, I was living in the orphanage until I had enough money to leave that hell hole and live on my own, that was when I was ten. When I first moved out, the nuns had sent over some ladies to watch over me, but I kept kicking them out. So, for the 5 years since then, I have been living on my own in the apartment that I inherited and providing for myself.

The reason for me being an orphan was that when I was just a baby, my parents committed suicide together, but that never bothered me, because I didn't know them to begin with.
