Kataleen

"So, you're saying," George said, "that Harry is a prisoner at his own house?"

"No, I'm saying he's been transformed into a bumblebee and is skipping in the meadows and living happily ever after," I sarcastically said in the same way a mother would end a bedtime story. "Not."

Arlin shrugged. "Well, if he was turned to a bee, I don't think we should even be here, right?"

At that I punched his shoulder, making him chuckle. We had finally reached the Burrow and currently Fred was making sure the coast was clear inside, since he always said Ginny may be serious when she refers to leaving for friendship meetings, but Addy has a 99.9% possibility to suddenly skip back in and reason she forgot her coat in the summer.

Fred poked his head inside their blue Ford Anglia, where he left us to hide secretly. "Coast clear, guys."

"Awesome. I'm getting cramps," Arlin said, pushing open his side of the car and holding my hand as we inched out. We all went inside the house, and saw the place was empty. That was surprising enough, but what surprised me more was Percy not behind a book or something. He was playing chess with Ron.

"Ronny!" I said with my nose scrunched up, skipping to him and wrapping him in a bear hug.

That surprised him, as he pulled away and gawked, "Kat! You...You made queeny go boom!"

When his face became as red as his hair at realising how stupid it sounded, I blurted, "Pfft. 'Queeny go boom?' Aww, Ickle Ronniekins said his first words!"

As the twins and Arlin laughed at me pinching Ron's cheek while glancing at his smashed queen piece, I noticed someone other than Ron obviously unpleased by the interruption. Someone named Percy Weasley.

"Um, hello, Kataleen," he merely said.

"Hi, Percy," I replied with a sweet smile, letting go of Ron. "How's it going?"

"The game was going good," he shrugged. "And I didn't really think you'd be back after what Gin did."

"How do you even know about that?" George said, obviously pissed.

"You were in your room the whole day of yesterday!" Fred added, as Arlin placed a restraining hand on his shoulder. Was I the only one who noticed the irony Fred was the one restraining an angry Arlin earlier, and now Arlin's restraining him?

"Hey, I'm a prefect, and I've got business," he said, saying something to his knight, making it move forward.

"Whatever, mate," I said. "We're not here for you anyway."

"We came for Ron," the twins synced.

Ron looked up from stuffing his mouth with a chocolate frog, swallowing it before saying, "Don't tell me Arlin's blaming me for what happened to—"

"We just went through this Ronald," I said, putting an arm around Arlin's waist. I nodded at the staircase. "Up, maybe?"

"Sure, but let Ronny wait for Mum's brownies," Fred said when Ron opened his mouth to say something. With a glare from all of us except an overly focused Percy he said, "What now?"
