Why can't we love with feeling no shame?
I don't understand why
all the lights suddenly dim
when we kiss.
Everybody stops
everybody whispers,
but why do they care?
To them we're strangers,
to us, they're followers.
Rooted to the ground,
I can no longer move.
I embrace the blinding confrontations
I carry the questions I can't answer.
I can't say what it means to love,
but I can show.
A time will come where everyone will know,
and that time will be mine.
