Severus waited for a while, evaluating the entire situation. He was hurt, although he did respect Celestia's wishes of not being in love he did somewhere feel extremely perturbed with her being with Lucas. He couldn't stand that man. He was a distant cousin of his. Always been the one to get the girls always got whatever he wanted while Severus on the other hand had to work very hard in getting anything. He was a bit envious of Lucas as a teenager but now those feelings were starting to grow out again. Severus walked towards the door and knocked on it. He was still wondering if he should ask about Lucas again, because the last time he did Celestia had been upset.
The door opened Celestia gave Severus a wide smile, "Hi, come on in, Make yourself at home I just have a little bit of work in the kitchen. I will be with you in a moment." With that Celestia walked towards the kitchen in a rush. Severus hung his robe and walked towards the sofa. Severus took out his wand and conjured a bouquet of mix flowers with hydrangeas, orchids, stephanotis and peonies. He walked towards the kitchen, Celestia was setting the dining table.
"You set only two plates, isn't your grandmother joining us?" Celestia showed him the note, "She's at Minerva's. She wont be here until Monday. And are those for me?" Severus presented her the bouquet. "Yes, for you but I guess you already have a bouquet." He said as he spotted the bouquet of red roses Lucas had given Celestia. With a swipe of her hand the roses in the vase vanished and she replaced them with the flowers Severus had given her. "These are much more beautiful. And they mean something to me unlike those roses."Severus smiled, "So what's the chef's special today?" Celestia laughed then cleared her throat. "For starters we have, lobster green bean and radicchio salad and Parisian consommé. And for the main course mini beef wellingtons and mash. So what do you think?" Severus was gawking at the food, "You actually made these?"
Celestia nodded, "From scratch, as I had said I do not like using magic in the kitchen. Shall we eat I am actually starving had a hectic day full of shopping splurges! Camo definitely loves to shop." They sat at the table.
Severus tasted the soup then the salad and moved to the wellingtons, Celestia was waiting for a feedback she looked towards Severus, he seemed to be enjoying the mouth-watering meal. "How is it?" Severus responded with a few satisfied hums. Celestia was still not content. Severus looked at her, "You have outdone yourself. The food is delicious! If you cook like this I might come here everyday!" Celestia smiled, "Well who's stopping you?"
"Your grandmother!" Celestia rolled her eyes, "As I had said she will warm up to you, soon."
After dinner was done Celestia and Severus sat in the sitting area near the fireplace sipping wine. Severus wanted to ask her so desperately about Lucas and looked like his prayers were answered when... "You know Lucas was here before you arrived." Severus gave her a surprised look. "He wanted to, talk things through. He said he was sorry for his behaviour the other day. He..." Celestia stopped suddenly.
"He what? Go on." Severus looked at her keenly.
"He thinks I still love him." Severus looked down at the wine glass in his hand. "Well do you?" Celestia looked towards him, "Severus its quite difficult to make a decision." Severus got up and walked towards the bookshelf. "Well you should in his favour he is handsome and young and he has apologized. He's a much better choice." Severus said as he placed the glass on the table and rifled through the books.
