Chapter 3

Ivory's POV

          Breath. Calm yourself, Ivory.

I stand beside my car, trying to breath normaly. Why am I feeling like this? Why can't I look straight into his eyes? His face, his voice, the way he walks and speaks, his lips, his intimidating look that'll melt you any seconds; why am I feeling this now? It almost felt surreal. Uneasy and something I really don't know.

The way he say my name. Why?. A loud thundering shattered on the skies making some people to scream in shocked. When I look around, it's almost dark. Not that it's already night but because it's about to rain.

"Ugh!," I groan as rain drops start to fell from the dark gray skies. I looked up the sky, feeling the cold droplets falling down my face.

Then my eyes landed on Christian's company building. I wonder what is he doing now?.

          "So? How's the inteview?"

I put my hair into a high messy bun, still trying to free my head from Christian's thoughts but thanks to Beeze, she just made me think of him again. "It goes well."

Beeze sips on her hot chocolate drink and pushes her way near me. "Com'on, tell me something about him. How do you find him?"

Then I remember the way he speaks and look at me. "Really intimidating."

"I knew it!." She blurted out, snapping her fingers on the air. "What else?. What happened after the interview? Did he just let you go or does Christian and you talked about something else?" I snapped my head at her. "What?! Of course I just want to know. Just curious." She laughed.

I sigh. "He say he wants to know me better." I saw her eyes widened. "And what do he mean by that?" Beeze asked.

I shake my head and groan. "I don't know and I don't want to think of it anymore."

She nods, giving up on the topic. "I'm pretty sure you're scared as hell, right?"

          "You have no idea,"

"He's one of a mysterious man. He keep his life private as much as possible. But I'm curious as to why he wanna know you better." She continues, finishing her chocolate drink.

          "Here's your order. Enjoy."

Our shop was getting busier now. It's past lunch already and there's still a lot of people coming by. They love our foods, I guess.

Yes, I'm currently here at Rosefield Diner. I'm a part time worker here but since class is done for this sem and I have more free time, guess I'd be spending more of my time here, sending people their orders. It's kinda tiring specially when there's a lot of customers.

"Ivory!, here's the last order. Table 20." My co worker said. I nod at him and get the tray. Carefully heading towards table 20 while trying not to loose balance and fall everything on this tray on the floor. I might get scolded if it happens.

"Table 20. Here's your order." I said, placing the tray on their table. The old couples gave me a sweet smile before looking down their food.

Thirsty, I head towards the kitchen to fetch myself a glass of water. This may help. Honestly, it's already past 1 in the afternoon and I haven't still eating anything except breakfast of course. But there's still a lot of customers so I still have to work and maybe, get a chance to feed myself later.
