Chapter 13
Ivory's POV
Hungry.
I find myself searching for something to eat on the fridge while Christian's busy talking to someone over his phone. Why do he kept on looking at me?. The uneasiness is still inside me. For pete's sake, after what Christian and I did last night and earlier at the bathroom, I still feel a bit awkward everytime he's looking at me. When will I get used to those looks and eyes?. Seems like I won't.
Crap. There's nothing ready in here. Frozen meats. Raw vegetables and eggs. All that could be useful right at this moment is fresh milk but I'm not into it right now. I want something heavy. Christian already cooked for us before we took a bath yet I'm still hungry as hell.
"Ivory, Taylor's already outside Escala. You any ready?."
Pouting, I closed the fridge and grabbed my bag on the breakfast counter. I'm really starving. "OK." I answered, walking closer to him.
As we stepped out of his unit and take the lift, Christian's holding me in the small of my back making it hard for me to not bit my lip and to just keep my eyes on the elevator wall. "You seems to be preoccupied, Ivory." Christian started inside the elevator.
Oh, if you only know. "Really?."
"Yes. Care to tell me what's pulling you out of this world?."
His retort made me chuckles. "What?" Christian asks, his face completely bemused.
"Words, Christian. Your words. I'm not used to hear you say something like that. I'm used to hear you saying deep words. It almost looks like I was just talking to Dawson."
Christian cleared his throath. Oopps, what have I done?. Did I said something stupi--Dawson!?. Did I just told him It looks like I was talking with Dawson?, that guy Christian almost get his knuckles up with?!.
Screw me!.
"Sorry." I mumble and when I looked up, he's frowning so madly. Fuck.
"I must be honest, Ivory. You quite displeased me with what you said. I don't like you comparing me with that fucking doućhe bag." He hissed.
When we stepped out of the elevator, Christian's not holding me on my back anymore. I fucking displeased him.
As we head outside, a black shining car is waiting for us. Christian nods at the man who... wait! He's the man who delivered Christian's gifts for me. The man who just disappeared so fast. I smiled at him and he smiled back. "Where are we heading off, Mr. Grey."
"To miss Collier's flat, Taylor." Oh, so he's Taylor.
The drive took everything between us in all pure silence. I was just looking at the window and at the buildings we were passing through. After a couple of minutes, we're already in front of our apartment. Taylor pulls into the curb and quickly hops outside, opening the door for me. I head in front of our apartment room and when I look back, Christian's talking to Taylor about something. Taylor nods.
Taylor hops inside the car and he drove off. Oh, what now?. Something's a bit not right here. Christian head towards me with serious-minded expression all over his intimidating face.
"Won't you going to open the door for us?" Says Christian with deep husky voice.
I nod at him and mumble okay. As I enter the key and opened the door; Christian and I come inside. Briegel isn't here. Now where she is?. The thought of Christian and I are the only person here on the room spreads heat all throughout my whole body.
