Chapter 15

Ivory's POV

You could forget your past but you could never...ever dictate for it to stay clearly away from you.

Sometimes, fate isn't always on your favor. Before you knew it, your past starts to play a big role on your present one. For that, you have nothing left to do but play along to what the fate really wants to happen.

                                ●●●●

A yawn escaped my mouth after packing all the things I needed for our weekened at Portland. I've been in portland once but I never get to be there again; and it has been a long time ago since then.

It's four in the early morning. I just finished doing my article around 2 in the morning. After it, I cooked for myself; doing my very best not to make some noise whilst Beeze is peacefully sleeping on the couch. That lady, I often see her sleep on the couch rather than inside of her own room.

After cooking for myself and eating proper dinner, I head back to my room and started packing clothes. I brought two formal dress with me. One black dress and one royal grey strapless dress. Well, I don't have any single idea what would happened in that two days in Portland with Christian but I'm sure a lot will happen.

The rest of the clothes that I brought with me is underwears, shorts, jeans and shirts. I brought slippers and I'll wear my newly washed converse later when he picked me up.

A rather deep sigh escaped my mouth as I finally finished packing for my bag. As if the last and very important thing my body wanted to do ever since I finished my article; I let my body falls back onto my soft comforting bed.

Headache starts to linger on the back of my head, given that I should already be sleeping two hours ago. I cringed as the pain on my head starts to get a bit annoying. With a loud groan, I rolled up and snatched a pillow on my side; putting my head underneath it as the longing sleep starts to drag me down into sweet dream.

          THUD!

I woke up with a loud hard thud of my body that just fell off the bed and onto the hard wooden floor.

I groaned in frustration of still not getting that enough sleep I was planning to get. Sleepily, I manage to stood up on my feet even my eyes were closed. A loud yawn escaped my mouth and without hesitation, I climbed back on my bed and laid back on it.

It's Saturday. My favourite day of the week. Grabbing my pillow, I stucked it under my body and slumped on my whole bed like an old grumpy lady who had a very bad hangover from last night. Just, minus the fact that I wasn't old- I mean I'm just 21 years old- and I didn't attended a party from last night.

From what I was able to remember, the very last thing I was doing last night was that I....

....I was packing some of my clothes.

          Clothes? Packing?

          "Holy shit!"

I jerked up; sitting up on my bed abruptly. Forcing my still closed eyes to open, it landed on the far side corner of my room and saw one big case standing and facing me.

          "Good morning, Miss Collier."

My eyes goes wide as balls. I was quick to turn my head only to see a blurred vision of a man sitting comfortably on my study table chair. I rubbed my eyes with two hands to be able to see him clearly but it's no use cause it's just getting blurreder. So instead, I closed my eyes for a bit seconds and when I opened it....
