I look around as I stick my head out of my door. Is Travis still around? I hope he can forgive me.
I pull out of my room and walk down the stairs to the living room. I see Austin and Madalyn have left the living room and all that's left is a blaring tv.
I am quickly proved wrong when a chair swivels around to face me.
"We've been waiting for you."
Sitting in the chair is my idiot of a boyfriend with Chanel on his lap. They are both clean back to their original looks, instead of covered in mud.
I nod and start to back away. I want absolutely nothing to do with this. I mean, he doesn't even have a cat. The only thing going for him is the fact that Chanel's fur is white.
"No," he speaks when he sees me back away, "Come back. We have much to discuss."
I roll my eyes and look back at him, "About what? Men in Black or Austin Powers?"
He sarcastically laughs. "No. We have to talk about your punishment."
"You don't even have a cat."
"Don't."
What could he possibly punish me with?

I look at the burnt pancakes in disgust. Well at least we know I can't cook. Even with instructions.
I'm a hopeless case.
I trash the food on the plate and pout up at Travis for the ninth time, "Help me."
He rolls his eyes and finally gets up to help me. He brushes away all of my futile attempts at making food and works on making something that's actually edible.
I sit up on the counter and watch him in fascination. He looks so concentrated.
"So if you wanna make food you actually have to use the right ingredients," he said, eying the lemons close to the pancake batter.
"I know that," I told him, smartly.
He turned back to look at me, raising an eyebrow. "Do you?"
I gasp and throw an extra egg on the counter at him.
It's his turn to gasp as it hits his arm. He quickly gets over the shock and looks at me devilishly, "Oh it's on like Donkey Kong."
I laugh at his words, momentarily distracted him, and completely miss the flour being thrown at me.
I stand up straight and look him in the eyes.
I reach over and throw some more eggs in his direction. I get up and run around the island to use it as a temporary shield. I run to the fridge and grab the milk and a couple other things like sugar and butter.
I open the fridge at the wrong time and get hit in the chest with a bunch of lemons.
"Ouch," I whimper. I see Travis' eyes soften and all the happiness drain from his face.
"Oh I'm so sorry," he says, running over to hug me. When he gets close enough, I pull the milk out from behind my back and pour it on him.
"Are you serious," he asks while wiping his hair out of the way, "Were you even hurt?"
"For a second," I confess, "But I'm feeling alright now," I finish by rubbing the butter in his face. I finish my masterpiece by pouring sugar on him. I smile watching him take it.
I brush food off my body and look around the room. God. I hope mom doesn't get home early.
I tell Travis where I'm going and hop up the stairs. Time for a bath.

Hey. Sorry. Late and short. This is the shortest chapter in the book. Promise. Been rethinking things. Think I have this all figured out. Maybe...
