Chapter 10

Brenna's POV

"Ugh." I groaned as I sat up. My head was pounding furiously and my back was aching. I looked around. I was confused where was I? I tried to stand up but couldn't. I then got shocked and knew what happened. I was in a huge aquarium tank. And you know what happens when I'm in the water. Thing is though, I never said the spell. I was kidnapped in human form.

I started to swim around. Once I got bored, I sank down to the bottom of the tank and sat down. I sighed and looked up daydreaming. 'Why? Why me?' I thought. "Well I see that our little fish friend has woken up." I froze but still had a frown on my face. I closed my eyes and prayed for the science guy to leave.

"Yo' boss! She's up!" I heard him yell. Great. I prayed for him to leave and instead, I get the boss of this stupid place. "Well, well, well. Looks like you've woken up Brenna." My eyes shot wide open. I knew that voice. But why him? "Gr-grandpa?" I managed out.

Alexis' POV

We banged on the door but it wouldn't budge. "Ok this door is really making me mad," Ryan frowned. "Can't you just like punch the door open?" I said. The boys stared at each other as if telling each other, "Why didn't you think of that?"

That's when the door burst open as a flash of color came and rammed straight towards the door. Dang these guys are strong! "Hey Alexis!" I turned around to find Stacey and the others run towards us.

"Good. You came just in time," I said. "Yeah yeah whatever. Don't act as if we didn't see that," Thomas said as he walked towards us. "See what?" I said nervously. "Uh, duh! Those guys right behind you just ran like crazy and punched those iron doors open! How's that not possible to see?!" Peter shouted. I turned to se Brandon and Ryan with sheepish grins on their faces. I rolled my eyes at them.

"Ugh! Whatever. Ryan, you explain to them. Brandon, come with me!" I shouted as I ran through the doors. Once Brandon caught up, we were already where the huge room was. And in a tank, was Brenna.

Brandon's POV

All I did was stare for a moment. Brenna's really a mermaid. I thought Alexis was just lying. "Brandon? Alexis?" Brenna shouted. "So, Brenna. These are your friends?" an old man asked. "Wait, Brenna, what's your grandpa doing here?" Alexi asked. Wait grandpa? Uh, I think I need a reality check here.

"Ha ha! Simple. I've run this company for ages! Now, I know what to do and what my research will finally bring me!" Brenna's grandpa shouted. "I have a feeling this is going to end up terribly. Brenna's grandpa flipped a switch on a machine. Brenna started screaming in pain. "Brenna!" Alexis and I shouted. I saw Ryan and the others run in as well. That's when everything started to become dark. I then blacked out.
