Rey awoke to a pounding in her head. She looked around expecting to find Kylo Ren staring at her again. To her relief she only saw a stormtrooper standing by the prison's entrance.
I need to escape this hell-hole" Rey thought.
She tried brainstorming different ways she could get out without being noticed, but nothing would come to mind. First she needed to get out of these bloody restraints. But how?
All the sudden something started tugging at the back of her mind. "I wonder," she thought, she began to ponder what that strange feeling was that she used earlier to see into Kylo Ren's mind.
All her life she had grown-up hearing about myths of the great Jedi Order and the Galactic Empire. All of the sudden it clicked!
"The Jedi wielded a special power called the Force, or so it said in the myth," Rey thought.
Focusing all her will power to the tugging force in her head, she starred at the stormtrooper's masked face.
"You will remove these restraints, and leave with the door open," she said tentatively.
"What did you say?" the trooper said.
"You will remove these restraints, and leave with the door open," she said a little louder.
The stormtrooper walked over and prodded her with his blaster. "I'll tighten those restraints, scavenger scum," he spat.
She glared and said more forcefully," you WILL remove these restraints, and leave with the door open!"
The stormtrooper stiffened," I will remove these restraints, and leave with the door open," he said robotically.
Rey's eyes widened in surprise and disbelief. "It worked," she thought.
The stormtrooper turned on his heel and headed towards the door. As a quick after-thought Rey realized she would need a weapon.
"And you will drop your weapon," she rushed to command.
"Aaaand I will drop my weapon," said the stormtrooper. His blaster thumped to the ground, and he disappeared out the door.
Rey quickly quickly jumped out of the restraints that the stormtrooper had released, and grabbed the blaster. "Now to get out of here," she thought. As she ran out of the cell the ground started to tremble, and sent Rey stumbling.
"What in the galaxies," she whispered.
