Meeting Five-0

Did my makeup, my hair, put my dress on, and waited for Kono to come and pick me up. She arrived just a few minutes after I put my dress on and I left my house, locked the door, and stepped into her car.
Kono: Colleen, you look HOT
Me: thank you, but Kono you look gorgeous too!
Kono: So I hear Kyle is planning on setting you up with Steve? He is a great guy, you'd love him. You seem to be his type too.
Me: I don't know man, I mean, I need to focus on trying to become a commander. I don't have time for a relationship.
Kono: yeah whatever! anyways, Chin & I have been telling Steve all about you. He seems excited to meet you.
Me: *screams* CHIN OH MY GOD I FORGOT ABOUT HIM HOW IS HE?!
Kono: COLLEEN CALM DOWN
Me: Ha sorry
Kono and I started laughing until our sides hurt, a few minutes later, we arrived. I haven't even seen pictures of Steve so I'm gonna stick around Kono so she can introduce the two of us.
Kono: You ready?
Me: Yeah
We arrived at the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort. We got out of the car and checked in at the table. right We walked through the white arches covered with hibiscus flowers.
chin: Kono! Colleen!
We heard Chin yell out our names and waved his hand holding a glass of wine toward him, signaling is to come over. 
Me: Chin! oh my god it's been so long!
Chin: *smiles* yeah a little too long! *hugs me*  How have you been?
Me: I've been great! just moved up to lieutenant commander of HPD! how are you?
Chin: the best I've ever been! and congrats! maybe someday you'll join us on Five-0! oh!! let me introduce you to everyone, *gestures to an extremely tall African American man* This, is officer Lou Grover, Lou, this is Lieutenant Commander Colleen Kahananui

Lou: hi there *shakes hands with me*
Chin: this is Detective Danny Williams, sometimes we call him Danno
Danny: nice to meet you *waves*
Chin: And his daughter Grace
Grace: Hi! You're really pretty
me: aw thank you princess!
Chin: *chuckles* and this stunner, is Commander Steve McGarrett.
Steve: Nice to meet you, I've heard a lot about you lately *smiles and laughs*
Chin: Yeah well Steve here has been single for a very very long time. like a really-
Steve: *cuts him off* okay okay I think she gets it
Me: *giggles* nice to meet you Steve
Steve: Let's go get you some wine
Me: I'd like that
Steve and I walked over to a table with our names on cards at places we were supposed to sit. I don't think that it was a coincidence that I was placed next to Steve. He grabbed the wine glass from the bucket filled with ice in the middle of the table and poured wine into the crystal glass. 
Me: *smiling* why thank you
Steve: my pleasure, so how long have you been in HPD?
Me: 6 years, how about you and Five-0?
Steve: 7 years. Gotcha by a year.
Me: *giggles*
Steve: You have a beautiful smile. Oh my god. Did I just say that out loud?
Me: *laughs and blushes* thank you
Danny: STEVEN STOP FLIRTING AND GET OVER HERE
Steve: I'm so sorry about him. He's very mean and grouchy. *grabs my hand and takes me over to Danny and then let's go of my hand*
