We checked her out of the hospital and I got her into my car

Colleen: do you have a dog?

Me: wha- no I don't have a dog? I'm a single guy that doesn't have time for a dog

Colleen: you see. That's a deal breaker

Me: is it now?

I pulled up to my house and ran around the car to open her door

Colleen: thank you. Wow nice place you got here

Me: thank you *smiles*
She started for the door and I opened it for her. She put her arms around my neck and I was shocked but I enjoyed every second of it. I placed my hands on her waist.

Colleen: you see, this is how I know you like me.
I wrapped my arms around her waist and held her close. Then I went for it.

Me: why don't we have a deeper discussion about this tomorrow night over dinner?

Colleen: how about we discuss it tomorrow morning and then talk about ourselves over dinner tomorrow night?

Me: that works too.

Colleen: thank you. For staying at the hospital with me. Even though you barely know me. It means a lot.

Me: well. Chin & Kono told me almost everything about you

Colleen: oh so how much is "almost everything"?

Me: well. They told me that your favorite color is either light purple or light pink, you love dogs, you love to surf, your favorite food is cotton candy but your favorite meal is spaghetti, you are a model, which, that one doesn't surprise me. And take that thing off

I told her to come upstairs with me and tossed her one of my t-shirts and went into the bathroom to let her change and I grabbed some new bandages, because it was about time to switch them out from the ones that the hospital gave her during the surgery.

Me: you changed yet?

Colleen: yeah

I walked into my room and she was wearing tight little shorts that she must have been wearing under her dress, and my t-shirt. She was standing in front of a picture of my dad and I.

Me: that's my dad. He was killed a few years ago.

Colleen's eyes got big and she covered her mouth. I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her waist.

Me: hey, you okay?

Colleen: my father was killed too, we just never found out who did it. I've been searching these past 5 years and I still got nothing and just the feelings all came back to me.

Me: Colleen, I'm sorry

Colleen: yeah, but he was doing what he loved *sniffles and walks into the bathroom*

I saw Colleen wash and dry her face I started getting ready for bed too. I took off my jacket just before Colleen got out of the bathroom.

Me: you have freckles!

Colleen: ugh, yeah

Me: what! I like them.

She came over to me and pulled me close to her by pulling my tie softly. Which was probably the hottest thing ever. She took off my tie and unbuttoned my shirt and I pulled her close and kissed her. I couldn't help it. Those freckles make me weak. She kissed me back and then pulled away

Colleen: the thing is.. I haven't even known you for more than a day. I just don't. Want things to move too fast.

Me: I'm sorry..

Colleen: I really like you Steve, but I just don't want it to be one of those relationships where everything happens in the first 24 hours

Me: don't worry I completely understand
Colleen: ahh who am I kidding I can't resist you

She grabbed my face and kissed me. It lasted a significant amount of time, I enjoyed it all.

Me: let me change your bandages *kisses her cheek*

Colleen: *yawns* okayy

Me: this might hurt a little.

Colleen: I can take it

I started to remove the bandage. It was a gnarly wound. One of the worst I've seen. She winced at that start, but then showed no signs of pain. I cleaned the wound again and then put a fresh bandage on it.

Me: are you okay? Feel better?

Colleen: yes I'm still fine Steve *laughs*

I smiled and kissed her head. I put a pair of sweatpants on and crawled into bed and held Colleen close. She fell asleep just seconds after I got into bed. I fell asleep soon after. I woke up after Colleen sprang out of the bed around 3am.
