One Hell of a Stomach Ache

Steve screamed my name and ran over to me.

Steve: SHES BEEN SHOT IN THE STOMACH SOMEONE GET AN AMBULANCE SHES ALREADY LOST A LOT OF BLOOD

Me: Steve I-

Steve: Colleen you're gonna be okay. You're going to be okay. The ambulance is on his way I'm gonna go with you to the hospital I-

That is all I heard before everything turned black.

Steve's POV

Me: NO NO NO COLLEEN STAY WITH ME COLLEEN STAY WITH MY YOURE GONNA BE OKAY. WHERES THE DAMN AMBULANCE?!

I placed my hands over the gunshot wound and put some pressure there to slow the bleeding down. The sirens started to become louder. Finally the ambulance was here.

Me: Her name is Colleen Kahananui, lieutenant commander for HPD. Single gunshot wound to the stomach. She's lost a lot of blood.

I held her hand the entire ride to the nearest hospital.  to be honest, I fell for this girl before I even met her. All of the great things that Chin & Kono said about her had me hooked. She can't die on me before I am even able to ask her out to dinner. But let me tell you, This girl, damn this girl she's better than I am. I had no clue that those guys were even here. And it was almost like she knew without even looking at it.
We rushed her into the hospital and they performed immediate surgery. I waited in the waiting room paving back and forth for what felt like days. Finally. The nurse came out and called for anyone there for Kahananui. I walked pretty fast into her room and saw her in there. God how can someone be that beautiful after they just got shot? I pulled up a chair and sat next to the bed. My elbows on my knees, my hands clasped together, my head hanging down. I was thinking of what to say to her when she wakes up. I'm probably gonna blow it and say something stupid. I mean that's what I do. But man, I really like this girl. My thoughts were interrupted by Colleen's smooth voice

Colleen: if I knew that a handsome guy in a suit would visit me in the hospital I'd get shot more often *smiles* how long have you been here?

Me: since you came here, I was worried about you. Doc said you can leave here whenever you're comfortable. You are stable and the wound is all stitched up.

Colleen: can I go home now? Please?

Me: yeah, but I'm taking you home with me. You know, just To make sure you're ok through the night.

Colleen: okay okay whatever you say

Me: what's that supposed to mean?!

Colleen: listen Commander, I know that you like me. You're not fooling anyone.

Me: what makes you think I like you?!

Oh my god she knows I like her. What now??

Colleen: how about you take me back to your place and I'll tell you there
Me: sounds like a plan
