Today is Saturday. The only day I can sleep in. I had forgotten to turn off my alarms for the weekend so I ended up waking up at six by accident.
It had been a few weeks since the argument. Things have cooled down by now.
I was about to go back to sleep when a notification went off
"Cody Carson posted a photo"
Oooooooo. I checked it real quick. It was a picture and a list of dates. Holy shit no way. I hurriedly skimmed the states.
Then something caught my eye.
"Salt Lake City UT @ In The Venue March 26"
Holy mother of Satan. I read more and looked at the description :
We're happy to announce our new Fight For Something Tour. Check out your state and we'll see you soon!
I couldn't believe it. This all felt like a dream. Well I'm gonna have to suck up to go to this.
*later that night*
"Jamie could you come here for a sec"
My mother called. I went over to her room. Trying to put on the best smile I could. "Yes?" I said as sweetly as possible.
"Look I wanted to say sorry for getting mad at you. I wanted to make it up to you but I didn't know how. Is there any concerts Coming up?"
It's a miracle, "yeah there's one on March 26.,," I quietly spoke not wanting to set her off. "Are there meet and greet tickets?" I didn't think of that.
"Uhh I didn't check but I can now" I walked out of the room and grabbed my iPod. I opened up Instagram and went to Codys page. He posted another photo announcing that there were VIP available. I clicked the link and went to our state.
Is this really happening?
I asked myself. She checked the prices and said it was ok. I went to get her wallet and she just paid for it right then and there.
"But. In order for you to go, you must have grades a c or higher and no attitude, deal?" Shit of course this wasn't gonna be easy, "deal.. Thank you" I hugged her and left. As soon as I got back to my room I screamed. But a happy scream. It all hit me that it was still a long time away. I counted how many days and it was 93. Great. Just great.
I can do this. It's not that long.
