Love Letter #7

Currently... Andito kami sa loob ng kotse ko. She doesn't stop crying simula kanina. Nababahala na nga ako eh. Hindi ko rin alam kung san kami pupunta, kung san ko sya dadalhin. We've been driving round and round for almost two and half hour. I check the clock on my car and it's nearly 6:00 in the evening. Gumagabi na. And still, di pa rin sya nagsasalita. I decide to put music between this growing silence between us. With the music.. Alam ko na kung san ko sya dadalhin.

We went out of town pero coast lang naman. When she notice nag panic sya. And she finally, she speak.

"San mo ko dadalhin?! Itigil mo ung kotse! Ibaba mo ako!!"

"W-Wait. You don't understand. Trust me. Hindi kita aanuhin. Gusto lang kita dalhin sa mapayapang lugar. For you to ease out stress. Please, please. Trust me. I know we only just knew each other but I want you to trust me. Hindi kita sasaktan." I heard a sigh. Sana naman napanatag sya. Sana naniwala syang hindi ko sya ipapahamak. I want her to trust me.

 After ten to twenty minutes we arrive here. Isa syang mataas na lugar. May bangin nga eh. Madilim pero ang maganda dito, malamig tsaka kitang kita mo ung ilaw ng syudad pati na rin ung mga kislap ng bituin. Tahimik at payapa. Bumaba na kaming dalawa ni Pepper.

"My mother used to bring me here when I was a child. We both admire the view..." The thought hurt me. Napayuko ako and I can sense na nakatingin sya sakin. I take the courage to look ok. Huminga ako ng malalim. 

"When she passed away, palagi akong nandito." I heard her soft gasp. "Pag namimiss ko sya, nandito ako. Parang kahit papano naiibsan ung bigat ng loob ko." 

"I-I'm sorry..." Napayuko naman sya.

"Ok lang. Matagal na yun." Sinubukan kong ngumiti. "So... When I start to study, pag galit ako, kailangan kong magisa, magisip.. Dito ako pumupunta."

"The view's fantastic."

"It is." Tumingin ako sakanya. "I'm sharing my place with you." Then I try to smile at her... Give her an assurance smile. Sana kahit papano mapagaan ko ung loob nya.

"Shout, roll, curse. Everything. Kung gusto mong magpakabaliw, pwede din. No one can hear you. No one can see you." She throws a gaze on me.

"Uh---Uhm... I can get on car. So... Shall I leave you?" She nods slightly.

"Ok. Knock me when you need my company again. Be careful! Baka mahulog ka ha?" 

I walk on my car. I shut the music. I know it's bad to eavesdrop pero hindi ko mapigilan. Maybe it's because I want to know her better. Binaba ko konti ung salamin ng kotse sa may passenger seat. Wide enough to hear what she was saying. I'm surprised she's not shouting nor cursing. She's just talking calmly to herself. I check the rear mirror, nakaupo lang sya sa malaking bato habang may binabatong bagay.

"Hindi ko alam kung bakit mo ako pinagbibintangan. Kung bakit parang ang baba-baba ng tingin mo sakin. You know me well. Bakit ka kagad naniwala sakanya?" She throw the last stone, I think. Napayuko sya and it is followed by sobs.
