I do not talk, that's right I don't speak
Just sit around and watch them think

Watch the way their face contorts with emotion
The way their body moves with the words

The look in their eyes
Have a peak at their souls
People watching I think they call it

Some emotions I just can't get

Trying to decipher the inflection and tone
The more you watch the more you learn

You see the fake smiles
The whole hearted love
You see the passion
The burning desire

People watching is quite fun you see
Looking on from afar like a bird in a tree
I can almost hear the flutters of a heart
As if it was happening to myself

Maybe it is done to distract from the drab life I live
Or the thoughts running ramped through my mind

Maybe it is done to learn
To know and to comprehend with empathy

Maybe I people watch to explain my own emotions

Maybe I do because I'm just plain bored

You may never know, I may never know
It is a mystery that is not to be solved
But to be understood

A/n: I wrote this a while ago, and actually published it on here by itself. But I felt it fit better to be in my collection.
