"Don't forget to give Lily her bottle at noon-" I started but dad cut me off.

"I know darling, after all you are my daughter." Dad smiled and bounced Lily up and down.

"I'm sorry but it's the first time I leave Lily for a long time." I said and let Lily's small hand take a grip on my index finger.

I'm gonna miss this cutiepie.

"I understand, but you have to hurry up!" Dad said and tried to push me away in a playful way. I giggled and said:

"Okay okay! Bye,cutie." I kissed Lily's cheek before grabbing my bag .

"Mmm...mommy!" I heard Lily cry out. I tried my best not to let the tears out. This is exactly why I absolutely hate to leave Lily. Before I always took her with me to the office and such, and now was the first time I was leaving her. Today I'm going back to work since it has been about a year and a half since I last visited my office.

Of course I worked from home when I was pregnant with Lily and such but oh boy was it hard! ( lol that's what she said ) Anyways I parked my matte black Mercedes G Wagon in the parking house that was under the actual skyscraper so I took the elevator up to my office.

"Lauren's back! Ahh!" And suddenly I was hugged tightly by Giovanna my secretary. I laughed and hugged her back, gosh I missed this girl.

"Where's Lily?" Giovanna said and looked around.

"She's with her gramps." I said and unlocked my office doors. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath of the room. It had a fresh citrus scent to it but it was mixed with another scent of flowers? I opened my eyes again and saw a bouquet of my favorite flowers: white roses! I smiled and laid down my handbag on the sofa in the office and then picked up the card attached to bouquet.

I smiled and shook my head. Me and Angelo had something going on way before Lily was born. Oh and by the way Angelo is Giovanna's brother. And did I mention they're Italian? Anyways I put the dirty thoughts of Angelo in the back of my head and started the iMac to start working.

"C'mon baby." I said and picked up Lily from her play pen. It has been a long day so it was finally time for bed. Lily squealed happily as always and wrapped her small arms around my neck. But before I went upstairs, I went to the kitchen to get Lily's bottle because she can't go to sleep without having one.

I gave Lily the bottle so she held it by her self and started to walk upstairs to her room. When I reached her room, I reached for a book I knew that Lily liked from the bookshelf. And then I sat down in the bean bag and got laid Lily down on my lap in a comfortable position for the both of us.

I placed the nipple of the bottle close to her mouth so she could latch on it. Lily happily started suck so she got the milk, she placed her small hands on my hand which meant that she wanted to hold the bottle by herself. I let her and started to read.

"Once upon a time..." I started.

After about 10 minutes of reading, Lily fell asleep. I gently got the bottle from her hands and picked her up to later gently lay down her in her crib with her teddy bear.

"Goodnight, princess." I said and kissed her chubby cheek.

And finally it was time for mommy to go to bed too.

3:48AM

I woke up by Lily's whining. But suddenly the whining stopped. I immediately threw the covers off of me and walked to Lily's room. When I finally reached it I couldn't believe what I saw.

"Shh, princess.

I got the key and unlocked the door and walked in. After that I walked upstairs and to the right where Lily's room was. I opened the door quietly and walked to the crib. My precious princess.

I gently picked her up and cradle her like a baby. But suddenly she started to whine. Well fuck.

"Shh, princess." I said and patted her back gently.

"Who the hell are you?" I heard someone say.

Good,mommy is here. Let's have a fucking family reunion. I turned around and met her beautiful brown eyes.

"No one." I replied. I turned back my attention to my princess.

"She's beautiful." Just like her mother.

"P-Please, don't hurt us! What is it that you want from us? Do you want money? I-" She started.

"I don't want anything from you." I kissed Lily's chubby cheek and placed her in her mother's arms.

"See you soon, babygirl." I said and placed a light kiss on the corner of her mouth.
