I walked into Hampton law firm with a huge grin on my face. As I Strolled to Jason's office to start my work. I heard two voices coming from inside Jason's office. Apparently I had interrupted an increasingly bad argument. I started to walk away when I heard the door slam and Peighton Hampton walked out saying some words that would make your mother gasp.
He stopped when he noticed me, "Hello sir." He greeted.
"Hi Peighton." I responded.
"Sir. How do you know my name?"
"I-U-uh." I stuttered. But luckily before I could further embarrass myself he pointed out something.
"Do you know a Miss Carrie Chase?" He pondered out loud.
Then I thought of a great lie, "Why yes sir," I lied, "she is my cousin."
"Oh yes," Peighton agreed, "I see the family resemblance." He thought for a moment then said, "She is a gorgeous women if I do say so myself."
I turned redder than a stoplight when he said that but I managed to reply.
"Yes she is."Peighton smiled and walked off. I knocked on Jason Hampton's door and he growled, "Come in." I did as he commanded. He beckoned for the chair in front of his desk and I sat in it.
"First of all," he stated matter of factly, "you are 2minutes and 27seconds late." I opened my mouth to tell him I had been chatting with his brother but he shushed me. "Second of all, today is your physical inspection to make sure you are who you say you are."I choked on my tongue. "Why sir, I'm sure that is unnessasary for-" Jason cut me off.
"It is very nessasary Mr.Chase. Now please remove your shirt or I will be forced to remove it for you." He said forcefully.
I gulped and said. "Now sir, is this legal?"
"Of course!" He exclaimed sounding offended, "this is a law firm."
"But sir. These extremes are not nessasary." I argued.
"Take off your shirt or you're fired." He threatened as he shoved me into the wall. I'm not sure how he had gotten there but it was hurting. He slipped off my jacket and started unbuttoning the black shirt underneath. I tried to struggle but he had my arms pinned above my head with one of his hands and he was using the other hand to unbuttoned the shirt. His legs were against mine pressing me into the wall.
I started to beg and whine for him not to take it off. But it was to late. The black shirt fell to the ground.
Lucky for me he hadn't unwrapped my cleavage that I had wrapped this morning so I would be less suspicious looking. "Turn around." He commanded. Slowly I obeyed. He started to unwrap the fabric and I screamed. "Shut up." He hissed.
It was no use.
I stood in his office in my lace red bra and nothing else. (Exept pants)
"Damn." He said, "I knew there was something odd about you."
"Please don't fire me." I whimpered.
We stood there in awkward silence. Until he asked,"Why do it?"
"Well-" I said but before I could finish he interrupted.
"You're in section 37 right?"
"Yes sir." I responded.
"You could be a nurse a vet or anything medical. Why be a lawyer? " he asked.
"Because as a doctor I can save lives. But I don't want to save lives. I want to change lives."
"And?" He questioned.
"And I want to stand up for what is right. I want to help someone who thinks they can't be helped. I want to hurt the people who put others in pain." I answered.
"Good answer." He said. "Now please help me organize files for a case of friday."
"Wait. I'm not fired?!" I exclaimed.
"Nope. But you will be if you don't help me." He said cooly.
"Thank you so much!" I said and ran up to hug him. At first he stiffened. But eventually he hugged me back and whispered.
"You're welcome."
