It had been a few weeks since I graduated college. I had been in collage for so many years it fealt a little odd not to go anymore. I kept up my search as a job for a lawyer but nothing came up.

One morning I was eating my breakfast and was searching for a job at a law firm on my Iphone 9s. I saw the perfect job. I almost spit my Orange juice across the table. The website read:
Our Lawfirm is in need of a blue eyed male that lives in sections 30-40 if you wish to work with us please come to Hampton law firm on May 29, be there no later than 7:08a.m.

I went to my closet to lay out my uniform for the interview when I realized something,
Theres no way they would let someone work at there lawfirm who didn't have blue eyes. Or more importantly wasn't a male.....
I tossed my uniform back into my closet and pondered what I could do next.
Then I had a lightbulb moment.
🔦
I contacted my older brother James to see if I could borrow his uniform and his ID card. This moment was one of the only moments when I was happy we slightly resembled each other. He drove over to my house and dropped the uniform off at the door. Since he was a member of section 32 his uniform was slightly different. It consisted of A jacket and pants that were the same deep red as the sandals in my uniform, underneath that was a black button up colored shirt, and finally there was a grey bow tie to finish it off.

Now I just had one more problem to solve. My eyes. There were such thing as colored contacts but they were illegal because the government didn't want people to impersonate someone else like I was trying to do. I thought for a long while until an idea hit me square in the face.

My great grandmother used to be an optometrist (eye doctor). Maybe there was a slight chance she had some contacts that she had given my grandmother. I dashed to the car in a rather unlady like manner. Well it might not be called 'dashing' due to the fact that my heals were 7 miles high more like wobbling.

I pulled into my grandmas driveway and sprang from the car then I proceded to wobble to her front porch. I knocked three times until I heard footsteps coming towards the door. The door opened to reveal not grandmother but a tall man in a section 40 uniform. He had golden blonde hair and deep green eyes. He steped closer to me and said, "Hello, you must be Carrie! Your grandmother had told me lots about you I-" before he was done talking I rudely interrupted to say.
"Who are you? What did she tell you?"

"Oh sorry how rude of me! My name is Peighton Hamton." After he said this I recognised the name.

"D-Do you by any chance run Hampton law firm?!" I stuttered.

"No thats a common mistake. I have green eyes not blue eyes so legally I can't. The law firm belongs to my older brother Jason Hampton." Just then my grandmother came to the door.
"Carrie!" She said enthusiastically, "so I see you've met my new friend Mr.Hampton."

"Yes grandmother-" I responded but I was cut short when Peighton's phone rang. He turned to us and said,
"Sorry got to go and take this it's work related." He answered the phone and started down the driveway to his car.

Grandmother pulled me into the house and gushed, "Isn't he charming!"

"Sure is grandmother." I answered not whole heartedly.

"Anyway dear, why are you here?" Grandmother questioned.

"I need some blue contacts for reasons I can't explain right now." I told her. I was planning on telling her what I needed them for but I supposed it was better if minimal people new due to the fact it was illegal.

"Sure sweaty I'll see if I can find some for you." She said. I was so glad grandmother wasn't the nosy type because it would be rather hard to come up with a lie that made sense. I could try;

Blue eyes match my uniform better.
Or
I need blue eyes to get a boyfriend.
That might work. But then she'd give me a long speech about how if a man doesn't exept you for who you are then he doesn't deserve you, and believe me when I say I have had enough of those lectures to last me a lifetime.

To my surprise she found a pair of bright blue contacts. She instructed me on how to put them in and get them out. It looked rather painful if I do say so myself. But then again I might get the job if I wore them.

I thanked my grandmother repeatedly then I got in my car and drove home. I got into my house and went to bed.
