-your pov-

As I slowly fell into the water, the cold air caressing my body, I couldn't feel anything. My eyelids suddenly became heavy. I couldn't help it. But I embraced my death. Now I won't have to deal with becoming a queen, taking care of a court. All I have to do is die..

My body then hit the water with a splash and I was under the cold current. Water flooded into my lungs. It burned. It hurt so much to die. But it'll be over soon. Right?

It felt like I was under the cold water for hours when I washed onto the shore. I coughed up the water that invaded my lungs. Soon I saw a pair of boots walking towards me. They were scuffed and full of dirt. And my heavy body was being lifted into the strangers arm. He was warm. And I fell asleep.

--next time of consciousness--

I woke up in a rikedy old bed. My head spinning as I tried to sit up.

"Where am i?" I asked myself with a raspy voice.

Suddenly an old wooden door opened.

"Ah. You're awake. That's good. Brought you something to eat." a man said.

He was maybe in his early 20's. He was handsome. Dirty blond hair, bright blue eyes.

The strange man put a bowl of what looks like porridge on the bedside table as well as a glass of water.

"Eat up. You need your strength." he smiled at me and walked back out of the room, closing the wood door behind him.

My mouth suddenly starts to water at the smell of the food. I take the bowl in my hand as well as the spoon that lay beside the glass of water. I took a bite. It was gross. Bland and chunky. But it was warm. I'm thankful for that.

I soon finish it and chugged the water realizing my throat ran dry after the porridge. I threw the blanket over me and put my bare feet on the cold wooden floor. As I stood up, goose bumps form over my skin at the coldness. I was tempted to lay back down and wrap myself like a cocoon in the blanket. But I wanted to explore.

I slowly creak open the old door and on the other side was a long hallway. It was full of light. I could hear voices coming from the right side of the hallway, so I followed the sound.

I soon walked into a big living room.

"Ah. She's up. How are you?" the man who brought me food asked.

"I'm ok. Thank you for the food Mr." I replied.

"Please. Call me Arobynn Hamel." he gave me the same smile from before.

"I'm Y-n. Nice to meet you."

A boy with shaggy blond hair sits beside Arobynn. Around my age, maybe a year or two older.

"Do you know what happened to you Y-n?" Arobynn asked me.

I shake my head no.

"I found you in the river near the kings castle. Do you know how you ended up there?" Arobynn asked another question.

I shake my head no once more.

"Do you recall anything from before you fell into the river?"

"I can't remember anything but My own name.." I say sadly.

"I see. Well if you have no where to go, you may stay here. However. On a few conditions. One. You earn your keep. Two. Do as I say. Three. Never question what I say or do. Four. You will train to become an assassin. And five. If you pay off whatever I have bought for you, or if you die, you may leave and do whatever you want with your miserable life."

I nod. Its true. I don't have anywhere else to go. Nor do i have any recelection of who I am.

"I accept your terms." I smile brightly

"Good. You start training tomorrow. Until then, Sting will show you around the estate."
