I walked through the halls of Hanlim. I couldn't believe that I was actually here. It has always been my dream to become a singer, but my parents always wanted me to become a doctor or an engineer. That sounded extremely boring to me, so guess what? I disobeyed that command.
I transferred to Hanlim after attempting to tolerate a few days at a regular high school. What was my parents' reaction?
Well... let's just say that things were really bad. So bad that I stayed in the subway for a night. And... that led to more trouble.
For some odd reason, I received a carton of banana milk and a slice of bread the next morning. Though I usually don't eat breakfast, I ate anyway.
Replaying the scenes in my head, I wasn't looking at where I was going. I accidentally bumped into a boy that was only a few inches taller than me, and that caused me to fall backwards.
"Oh, I'm sorry," he spoke, putting his right hand out to help me up.
He helped me get back onto my feet. I dusted myself while replying to him, "No, I should be the one saying sorry. I wasn't looking."
"Hey, I haven't seen you here before. Although, you look quite familiar. Have we met before? Are you new to this school?" he asked. The bell rang as soon as he finished that sentence. "Oh, never mind! Gotta get to class. Don't be late! See you around!"
"Wait, I didn't catch your name-" I started.
"I'm Yoo Kihyun! How about you?"
Yoo Kihyun? That name sounds familiar, but I can't put my finger on it.
"Jung Jihye!"
"Nice to meet you!" he yelled while running, turning around to bow for a split second.
I bowed back with a smile.
