( a mildly shakespearean story about two lesbian lovers in the renaissance ! )
⏤ a venetian princess, of ichor and gold, and her personal guard, flaming swords and golden blood. soft desires, softer lips and a love of fairytale. the only thing was, it was forbidden. for they were both maiden's in an unforgiving land. yet they found love like no other.
but alas! azrael is a warrior, who has slain angels with golden blood. yet, her place is always beside the crown princess of venice. never with her, only beside her, a few feet apart.
freya is a princess, delicately dipped in gold, an angel. especially in the city where almost everyone was 'tainted', with each a vice their own. gambling, sex, wine. but maybe that was never because she wanted to be untainted. but because she didn't want men, nor wine. no, she liked women. soft lips, soft dresses, soft desires. everything was so much more beautiful.
yet, they have hope. In the renaissance, the revolution, the rebirth, perhaps they can find their way into a more forgiving venice, where they were not just allowed to be lovers in their bed, but outside.
and if love was a sin, oh well, then they would stay sinners.
