|| PERCY ||

Immortal?

"Immortal?" Hazel whispered. I could tell that we were all not expecting to be living forever.

"Yes, immortal. But it's sort of like partial immortality. You could still die in battle." Athena explained impatiently.

"Now please stay still while we process the blessings." Hermes instructed.

The gods started chanting something ancient and then I saw a blinding white flash shine before my face. After the searing light stopped, it was all fine.

"I don't feel any different." Leo commented.

"Of course you don't Repair Boy." Piper snorted. "Once there was an alarm clock placed next to your ear and you still didn't wake up."

"You're never going to let that go, are you, Beauty Queen?"

"Uh-huh."

Suddenly Apollo's eyes went trance-like and green mist started to our out words:

A demigod born in May

With wings of fate

Shall—

And then the prophecy stopped.

Apollo warily looked up.

"It happened again, didn't it?" He asked.

The gods nodded.

"What happened?" Annabeth asked.

"Recently, Apollo keeps on saying those two lines of prophecy." Athena said.

"At least he said a 'shall' this time." Artemis added.

But it's not enough.

After being involved with two great prophecies, I don't need another one.

"Who is the demigod that is spoken about in the prophecy?" Frank asked.

"A child born in May." Leo said.

"Well, thanks so much Captain Obvious." Nico shot back.

"Hey, just trying to set some facts straight." Leo replied.

"May we leave please leave now?" I asked.

"Yes, you may leave. Meeting dismissed!" Zeus announced.

And we then walked out of the the Throne Room.

—3 weeks later—

"Hey, Wisegirl." I said. "I'm going to go to my mom's apartment for a little while. It won't be long, I promise."

"Fine," she huffed. "But if you dare disappear for another  9 months, I swear that I'll hunt you down personally just to kill you."

I laughed. That's my Wisegirl.

Taking the cab (which was outside of camp, of course), I finally reached my mom's apartment. I knocked on the door.

It opened and there they were, my loving parents. "Percy!" Paul said. "I'm so glad that you're back!"

"Hey Paul, I missed you as well, and it sure does feel good to be back at home."

He chuckled and ruffled my hair.

"Paul?" A voice called. "Who's there?"

Paul was about to answer but I put my index finger to my lips to tell him to keep quiet. He understood right away, I wanted to surprise her.

I walked in. And there she was, my beautiful mother baking a batch of cookies, blue cookies to be more precise. I snuck up to her and covered her eyes.

"Who is it?!" She gasped.

"Guess." I said.

"PERCY!" She screamed.

I uncovered my hands and she turned around to look at me. She cupped my face in her hands and tears were streaming down her cheeks. "I thought that you were gone forever, stuck in a war again, and that you're never going to come back."

"I know, Mom, I know."

Then she slapped me.

"I know? What do you know Perseus Jackson?!"

I flinched when she called me by my whole name.

"You've been gone for more than 9 months and been in a war, and didn't even bother to call or write to me during that period! What do you know?! You've had us worried sick, I thought you were already dead! So how dare you say I know! Because you don't know what Paul and I been through! Or how devastated Annabeth was! So, don't you even dare do such thing again!"

"Mom, I promise that I won't. Anyways I already promised Annabeth not to do that. I'm really sorry, and I promise that such thing would never happen again."

She then took my arm and said, "What is this? A tattoo?!"

"Explain." she ordered.

"I was planning to do so anyways." I said.

"Good." She said. "Now tell Paul and I what happened."

I pretty much said everything, even I being stuck in an aquarium with Frank, and almost being poisoned to death in Polybote's net of doom. But I had to leave out the detail on Tartarus. I couldn't let her know.

By the end of it, Mom was crying and Paul was comforting her.

"Oh yeah." I said. "I'm now immortal. The gods made us immortal three weeks ago."

They smiled. "That's wonderful."

                                                                                  -•-•-•-•-•-

My mom and Paul looked at each other. The suspense was killing me. It was like they wanted to tell me something but don't want to tell me. ADHD problems.

They finally said. "We have big news."
