Chapter 4

Jake's pov:

I walked by the shore alone after I've talked to Chloe and I explained that Zara and I was over. Of course I said that I had dumped Zara, so I could be with her instead. She actually believed me, but I am a pretty good liar so... Now, I was walking alone, away from Zara to just think for a while. But I can't believe that she dumped ME. I am Jake, the popular boy who can have every girl in school. I'm in the football team and I had probably banged every girl from the cheerleader. I've had a lot of flirts and so but Zara was my first "serious" relationship I've ever had. Why she was my first "serious" relationship was because I love being single but I lost a bet with my mates. And because of that, my punishment was to be someone's boyfriend; they know I love the single life. When I lost the bet, Zara happen to walk by and my friends made her to be my girlfriend. It wasn't as easy I thought it would be, but after some hard work I made her fall for me. According to the boys I had to be her boyfriend for almost five months (I had almost succeeded) and then dumb her at a huge party that is coming up in one week. The party is well known since it is captain of the football team's birthday party. The party is always at his family's house and the parents were always gone for a couple of days after his birthday. The parties had always been pretty crazy, loud and awesome. I was supposed to dumb her in front of everybody at that party, but I can't now. She is gone, because I was with Chloe. I don't like Chloe; she seems to be like the rest of the popular girls in high school. She is, or was, I should say, Zara's friend for some weird reason. The reason why I knew Chloe was because she had been texting me since I got together with Zara. Chloe got my number from Zara's phone. We had been texting a lot, but Zara don't know that. She thinks I've been texting my friends from the team and so.

I looked back to place were we had our towels and saw that Zara was there. Damn, now I can't go back and talk to Louis. Wait, she is leaving! Yes, now I can go back to my friends.

Zara's pov:

-"I'm not sure where he is actually, but I think he is walking by the shore or something. He said that he needed to think for a while alone." Chloe answered and looked at me for some weird reason.

-"Is he alright?" Louis asked concerned.

-"Yeah he is fine, couldn't be happier right now I think." She smiled and looked at me again. Ouch, that felt. Had I been too harsh on Jake? Should I've said something more polite and was he still sad? Or was it true what Chloe said, that he is really happy?

-"Sounds great!" said Louis, not knowing anything, that sweet boy. *Stop thinking that, you just got out of a relationship that you had with HIS friend. Maybe he is just like Jake when it comes to girls...* I thought to myself.

-"Well I've got to go!" I said quickly and started to get up.

-"What's wrong Zara, are you sad or something?" Chloe said with an evil look.

-"No, I just have to get back to my sister, that's all." I said and looked away. I really didn't want to meet Jake again, and I guess he would be back soon.

-"Really, you can't stay for a little while?" Louis asked looking so damn cute.

-"No sorry, I promise my mum that my sister will be back home soon so I have to help her packing her stuff." I lied.

-"Ok, say hi to her from me" he said with a small smile.

-"Of course, and thanks!" I said and handed him the bottle with a smile.

-"Hope you don't run into another person." Louis said with a laugh. I laughed awkwardly back and said:

-"Promise, I hope an idiot don't attack you again."

-"Hahahaa, it was an accident." he said with smile that made my knees weak.

I turned and walked away, but I could hear Chloe say with her irratating voice:

-"So, what am I gonna do with you Louis?

I walked back to my stuff which was just a five min walk away. I saw Annie's friend running around a pile of sand and when I came closer I saw that Annie was in the pile. Her body was buried in sand and her head was the only body part I could see. I laughed at their silliness and kissed Annie on the cheek.

-"Nooooooo!" she said loud but laughed at the same time.

-"There you go, for chasing me with those little creatures!" I said laughing louder now. "We should head back home. If you start cycle first I'll fix the bag." I said while I started to help my sister to get up. When she was free she brushed the sand of herself, took her friend's hand and walked away. I packed the magazine, the towels and my sunglasses into the big beach bag and got dressed before heading to my bicycle.
