"Gravity Falls" Nick thought to himself.

The 20 year old had traveled several states to reach this small pocket in the state of Oregon, and even now, as he sits calmly on the bus, he questions why.

he had brought little with him. A phone, some cash, snacks and the clothes on his back. The fedora and purple jacket that had been his signature, was also the only thing he had worn for twenty seven hours. The blonde sighed... contently? yeah, contently.

Nick sighed "not like i had much going on anyway." he stifled a chuckle. Though he couldn't help but frown. he adjusted his jacket and looked to the window. The trees shimmering in the fall time sun and the sky tinted with a faint orange. he had to admit.

this neck of the woods was beautiful.

The bus stopped next to an old tourist trap called The Mystery Shack. Despite the decrepit state of the building, there was an odd charm to it that he couldn't deny. he was told he would be meeting his future roommate, but as expected, the man was late.

Nick stood there for a good half hour, before sitting down on the dirt road. He zipped open his duffle bag and took out a bottle of 'water' brand water. After a few big gulps he put the bottle down and sighed. The sun was setting and his acquaintance hadn't given him the pleasure of showing up. "same old Pete i suppose." Nick said with slight disdain.

Pete had moved in to Gravity Falls just a few weeks before hand, only to find he was unable to pay rent, which was the only reason Nick was there in the first place. "huh, lazy bastard."

"yo dude!" a voice called out, Nick turned to see a large man in a suit and a fez. The man came closer and introduced himself "the names Soos, owner of the Mystery Shack!" he exclaimed with jovial pride. "i couldn't help but notice that you seem rather depressed. why don't you join me and take a tour of the Mystery Shack, its only ten dollars."

Nick considered the offer and turned to see the setting sun. "eh, what the hell. I have time."

The Mystery Shack definitely lived up to its name, after passing by a poorly made statue with the word founder, they entered what could only be described as a showroom, filled with the most curious oddities. ranging from a photo of a multi headed bear, to an array of living golf ball people.

"this is the remains of what was once the legendary Gobblewonker, even though it was actually just a machine built by our local kook turned millionaire Old Man McGucket." okay, Nick knew this all sounded ridiculous yet it felt like it was all true. the town had an aura to it Nick felt, one that welcomed this type of weirdness.

"and here is our newest exhibit" Soos walked over to an air tight box, covered by a dusty piece of cloth. " our newest Wind Wolf Exhibit!" he removed the cloth in a flamboyant manner, revealing three floating wolfs, they were almost transparent with glowing red eyes and seemingly solid teeth. "are those dangerous?!" why he didn't ask are those real, he'll never know "of course not, sure they tried to eat my face off when we found them. But that doesn't mean they're dangerous."

almost as if on command, the wolfs attempted to bite Soos's head off. "relax, the glass is top of the line, there is no way they're getting out."

Nick wasn't entirely convinced, Soos seemed trustworthy yet he didn't seem like the brightest tool in the shed.

"anyway, lets move on" Soos said, the pair moved on.

Grr Grr Grr..
