Chapter 3

Ryan's POV

I cannot describe how amazing it was hearing Abi say yes...she was pregnant, I laid on the sofa with my body on hers and just stared into her beautiful eyes. This woman had given me so much without even realising it, and at this moment I could have quite happily taken it alot further than just a kiss. However Stella and Freya had other ideas, the front door opened and I heard rushed footsteps "Momma" a familiar voice cried.

I quickly stood just before Freya burst into the lounge, she rushed straight into Abi's arms "I've missed you so much"

"Hey baby" Abi grinned as she pulled Freya into her "I've missed you too, I love you"

"Hello sweetheart" Stella was a little cautious around Abi, my guess is she was still hurt by the awful things Abi had said to her before she went to rehab.

"Hey Mom" Abi sensed Stella's reluctance and hugged her Mom tightly "I'm sorry sorry for everything"

Neither of the women spoke, it was Lillia's laughter that broke the silence "Oh hey baby" Abi was quick to collect our daughter in her arms. Lillia was walking now, it had been a few months since her first birthday.

I watched as Abi hugged Lillia and Freya tightly "My girls" she said with tears in her eyes. Stella gently put a hand on Abi's shoulder, I too aproached them and wrapped them tightly in my arms.

Stella didn't speak, she too had seen the overwhelming pain and heartbreak in Abi's eyes. I nodded to Leroy who had just entered the room "I'd better go and see to dinner" Abi exhaled deeply, we watched as she dissappeared out of the lounge, Leroy followed her into the kitchen.

"She seems alright...happy" Stella said softly so Freya didn't hear "Do you think it's worked..."

"Yeah, she wouldn't have come home if she didn't feel better" I snapped a little and suddenly my mind was taken back to the night I came home and found Abi unconcious on the bathroom floor.

We all sat around the table and waited for Abi to rejoin us "This looks amazing" I say as I look at all the food Abi has made.

"Thank you, it's the least I can do" Abi replied I got he feeling she was readying herself to tell us something "There's something I need to tell you all" I think I know what's coming "I have decided to put my career on the back burner indefinately...I want to spend as much time as possible with my family for now..."

Shit I didn't see that coming at all "I've spoken to Tony and he also thinks it's a good idea, I want to do this...I want to be a wife and a Mom. I haven't put my career on hold altogether though. For the mean time I want to focus on dancing again...I miss it"

"Wow" I exhaled still taking it all in "Are you sure?"

"Yeah of course, especially now" I she smiled and looked to Stella again "Thing is Ryan and I have some more news...I'm pregnant"

"Oh sweetheart that's fantastic" Stella stands and hugs Abi in her seat "Congratulations Ryan" she then hugs me.

Freya seems excited aswell which is good...I'm still a little confused as to why Abi didn't mention anything about taking time out before dinner.

Flashback
"ABI" I yell as I frantically search the house. How could I not know? What if she's already taken it? "ABI, BABY WHERE ARE YOU?" I run towards out bedroom and that's when I see her laid on her front in the bathroom, her hair is covering her face and from what I can see its covered in vomit "Shit, Abi" I kneel beside her and move her off her front, her skin is grey and clammy and her eyes are closed. I feel her neck for a pulse and that's when I see it, the empty packet and discarded needle "Fuck Abi why?" I plead lowing it's useless "Hello ambulance please" I know it's not a good idea to draw attention to the situation bit she's left me with no choice. Her pulse is barely there, my heart is pounding as I let her body fall across my legs. She looks so fragile laying there, I have never seen her like this before and it scares me...
End of flashback

"Ryan" Abi's voice disturbs my memory and I am relieved to hear her speak "You okay?" She asks and I nod gently hoping she doesn't know what I was thinking about.

"Yeah sorry" I quickly apologise.

I figured she had guessed what I was thinking. Well she didn't ask any more questions anyway "You're not angry with me are you?" She asked a she perched on the end of my lap, she wrapped her arms around my neck and faced me.

"No baby" I reply "Course not, shocked maybe but not angry"

"Good" Abi kissed me softly before pulling away.

"What made you decide to do this?" I wondered and Abi inhaled deeply.

"I wanted to give you more of me...my whole life has been tied up in the industry and so much of my time is taken with work, I just thought I needed a break. Not just for you and the kids but for me too. I need to do normal Mom and Wife things" she explained and it made sense to me.

"I'm proud of you" I whisper and tuck some loose strands of hair behind her ear.

"I know" She smiled weakly and then hesitated "I love you Ryan"

"I love you too" She looks at me for a little longer and I find myself just looking deep into her eyes.

"Oh sorry I didn't mean to..." Leroy's voice breaks our moment.

"It's fine" Abi blushes and Leroy smirks "What's wrong?"

"There's a call for you" Leroy looked cautious.

"I thought my calls were meant to be filtered by Tony" Abi looked a little annoyed.

"It's Harry...Abi Tony's been rushed to hospital" Abi's body stiffened and she took a moment to gather herself. We both stood up and she looked at me.

"I'll get the car keys" I say without hesitation l. Abi just holds Leroy's sleeve tightly.

"Is he okay?" Abi stuttered as I left the room. I spotted Stella in the kitchen.

"Is everything alright Ryan? I've just seen Leroy he looked terrible" Stella asked and I couldn't lie to her.

"He's been rushed to hospital" I reply and she looks as shocked as Abi did "is he alright?"

"I don't know" I say "I'm taking Abi down there, could you watch the kids please?"

"Yes of course" I rush back to Abi, who hasn't moved from the spot I had left her.
