Chapter 6

Ryan's POV

Unfortunately the warning we had received a few days before was weighing heavily on my mind.

Abi was sat in the VIP side of the audience, where only family was permitted. Leroy and Jeff sat with her and Freya, I had been watching them from stage side and I couldn't help noticing how on edge Abi seemed. Everytime she moved, they moved. Even escorting her to and from the bathroom, I could tell it was driving her crazy. But she buried it deep and tried to enjoy the experience, Taylor (Swift) had just finished her song and we were being announced. Abi stood to applaud and Leroy and Jeff also stood, she rolled her eyes and I watched as she said something to Leroy. He frowned argued a little and continued to look around, I eyed Abi as I walked on stage, she smiled weakly and I winked at her before taking my place in front of the microphone "How is everyone? Are we feeling good?" I asked and the audience cheered and screamed "Okay so this is our newest song, if you know it sing along"

I glance over at Abi who looks extremely uncomfortable, it's difficult to concentrate, I manage though. As I look up again I watch as Abi storms off, rushing away from Leroy and Jeff "Move" I snap as I push back a group of PR's and the venues security.

"Ry what is it?" Eddie wonders and I turn quickly "I have to get to Abi, I'll explain in a minute okay" Eddie nods as I push my way through the crowd. I see Abi walking towards me, she had tears in her eyes "SHIT ABI WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?"

"Ry I can't do this, I feel like I'm suffocating" she sniffs "It's too much"

"It's know" I cup her beautiful face in my hands and bow my head so my eyes are level with hers "But this isn't for ever, I promise as soon as Sarah has been recaptured then we will step down security. I just need to know you're safe okay?"

"Okay" She sniffed again "Only until she's caught, because I can't live like this again Ryan"

"Come on let's go home" I hesitate as I look around to Leroy and Jeff, of course.they are standing beside us keeping people a safe distance away as we walk outside.

Abigail's POV

As the doors opened something didn't feel right, as we were ushered through the crowds, they had been allowed a little to close to the exit "OH MY GOD ABIGAIL, ABI" voices screamed as we made our way to the car. Leroy had gone ahead with Freya first and I could see him heading towards me. Ryan was doing a brief interview "RYAN" The screams were almost overbearing.

"You ready?" Leroy's voice was comforting and his grip on me was reassuring. I looked over and saw Ryan was heading towards us.

"ABI" his expression changed as he called out, rushing forwards to try and grab me...but it was too late within a split second I had been dragged away into the barrier. My side collided with the metal and I felt a pain shoot through my stomach. I hesitated for a moment as I felt warmth around the pain, within that second I had been yanked back by Leroy.

Confusion took over at first then panic as I looked down "Leroy we need to go back inside" I whispered into his ear as I felt him holding me up.

"Why what is it? Is it the baby?" Leroy was concerned and he put his hand on top of mine as I held my side to try and control the pain "Shit" Leroy lifted his hand and saw the blood "Ryan"

Leroy's arms practically lifted me off the ground as he carried me towards the door, but it was too late my body was failing me "Abi, Baby look at me" Ryan's voice was faint and seemed distant. He was right in front of me walking backwards, the exit door reopened and I was carried inside "Call a fucking ambulance" Leroy yelled and Ryan knelt over me.

"I'm okay" I gasp and he strokes my hair "I'm going to be okay right"

"Yeah" Leroy spoke again "Of course you are, it's just a scratch. Any thing for a bit of attention" his voice was shakey and thats when I realised he was lying. Suddenly my mind switched and I thought about Freya.

"Where's Freya?" I trembled as I spoke.

"It's okay I called ahead and told Dennis to drive her to Nick" Ryan looked pale and full of concern, he had my head cradled in his lap.

"What do you think stabbed her?" I heard Leroy ask one of the other security guards.

"They said it's probably a sharp edge in one of the railings" the other security guard replied.

I could feel liquid at the back of my throat and coughed, as I coughed the taste of blood filled my mouth "Abi it's okay baby, where's the fucking ambulance" Ryan was frantic, I wanted to tell him not to worry but I could barely talk. The pain in my stomach had overwhelmed me.

"It wasn't the railings, Jeff found a knife. The blades about 6 inches long and the blood has stained the whole blade" I watched the colour drain from Ryan's face as one of the head security guys from the venue informed us of the shocking truth.

"Are you saying she's been stabbed?" Fear took over and I watched Ryan practically fall apart "She's pregnant"

"Ryan" I can hardly speak, my head is pounding "Ry"

"Hey it's okay baby I'm here, I'm right here" He knelt beside me and stroked some hair from my face "Everything's gonna be fine"

"I'm scared Ry" I manage. I watch as the tear's forming in Ryan's eyes, he looks just as scared as I am.

"The ambulance is here" a guy calls out, he is followed into the room by 3 paramedics "She's this way, her name is Abi Jenson-Tedder..."

"Jenson-Tedder as in..." a paramedic stutters.

"Yeah, look if you can't be professional..." Scott the guard warned and the paramedic took the hint.

"Of course" he remembered the job he had been called to do "Mrs Jenson-Tedder..."

"It's just Tedder" I am quick to correct him and Ryan smiles weakly "Jenson-Tedder is my stage name..."

"Forgive me, Mrs Tedder" the medic smiled. I could feel him pressing around on my stomach...

"She's pregnant" Ryan informed him much to Scott's astonishment, I look around and see some of the other guys standing around us Zach and Brent have come back to see what was going on.

"She's what? Who would do that?" Brent snapped, he looked over to Ryan who was still looking at me, I felt my eyes closing. Ryan took a step back and let the medics work.

"Ryan tell us what to do?" Zach patted Ryan's shoulder gently.

"Erm...could you let Stella know what's going on please?" Ryan looked at me and back to Zach "And Nick, he'll need to explain to Freya before the press get involved...oh and call Harry and Tony. The numbers are in my cell. Take it" Ryan handed Zach his cell phone and turned back to me.

"Ryan they need to take her now" Leroy spoke and Ryan nodded. I felt the medics lift me up onto a bed.

"Leroy" I manage "Stay please"

"Already on it baby girl, I'll follow in the car" Leroy looked at Ryan.

"Do you think whoever did this could come back?" Brent asked Leroy who didn't respond "Shit"
