All Fall Down

Chapter 5

Ryan's POV

It had been a few weeks since we found out about the bullying at Freya's school. Abi and Nick had joined forces to sort it out, I knew Abi was uncomfortable being close with Nick but she was willing to do what ever it took to help Freya and thats how it should be.

However Abi had also started working on Dancing With The Stars, as a judge. And for some reason me and the rest of the guys had been roped onto performing Counting Stars live at a results show.

Of course the show producers thought it would be perfect if Abi danced with one of the professional dancers while we sing.

It was late afternoon and Abi and Christopher Reynolds (a new dancer) were rehearsing their dance whole we rehearsed Counting Stars. I watched while I sang as Chris lifted and spun Abi, praying each time that he wouldn't drop her.

I had been given restricted space to move so I wouldn't collide with them while they danced. And it was working fine until Chris lost his balance and dropped Abi, for a second time.

I watched as her body crashed to the ground and we all stopped singing "You okay baby"

"Yeah fine" Abi smiled as she stood up.

"Ryan, we would stand a better chance of finishing off if you didn't stop singing everytime something goes wrong" Cieran called out and I felt something inside me snap.

"With all due respect, it's not your wife he keeps dropping is it?" I snapped and Abi half smiled "If he's not up to it maybe they should leave it out of the dance?"

"Ryan it's fine" I can hear a warning in Abi's tone, but it's too late I have already snapped.

"Ryan mate she's a dancer, it's part of the..." Cieran continued smugly.

"She's pregnant" I blurted out and saw Abi's expression change, I glanced between the rest of the guys and realised my mistake instantly.

"OH shit, I'm sorry I didn't know" Cieran was quick to apologise "We'll drop the lifts from the routine"

"Congratulations man" Zach had come over to hug me, I looked over at Abi who looked furious "Abi?" I hoped she would be okay.

"I need some air" Abi headed off out of the studio and I quickly dropped my tech equipment on the ground and followed her. Leroy stood up.

"It's Okay I got this" I gestured for Leroy to stay where he was before heading out of the side door and into a small garden with decking and tables "Abi" I said again as I saw her sat on the floor again the wall, sitting beside her I waited for her to speak.

"I'm sorry" she sniffed "I just..."

"I know I was out of line I shouldn't have said anything, I just panicked when I saw him dropping you" I try to explain "Then Cieran got cocky and I just..."

"Lost it?" Abi finished my sentence "It's not just your fault I shouldn't have done the routine, i knew it was risky with those lifts..."

I can tell she is holding something back from me but I'm not sure what it is.

Abigail's POV

I listen as Ryan apologises about his reaction inside, and I hear him telling me he was worried about me and no doubt our baby. And I know for a fact he senses something is wrong, but how can I tell him? How can I tell him that I'm having doubts, doubts about having another baby.

I thought my fears would go away once I told Ryan I was pregnant, but truth is its getting worse. I hoped spending more time with him would help but it just made me feel worse about everything. I wasn't even sure if I wanted to be pregnant.

"You okay baby?" Ryan's voice was filled with concern and I knew he could tell "Abi talk to me, is it the baby?" The fact I am so transparent to him shocks me and I can only manage a nod to begin with.

"I...I'm scared Ry" I say and Ryan smiles weakly "What if...I can't lose another baby"

"Hey it's going to be okay" Ryan put his hand on my thigh and smiled gently.

"You don't know that, my heart has been pulled and ripped in so many directions. I'm not even sure I can take another..."

"What you have been through is more than enough for anyone to bear" Ryan spoke gently "But you are not just anyone, you are strong and we can do this together" Ryan linked his fingers through mine and kissed my temple.

"Ryan" a voice called for the door. I looked up and saw Leroy standing there. Ryan stood up and headed towards him, I watched as Ryan ran a hand through his hair and glanced at me. I stood and headed over.

"Everything okay?" I wondered and Ryan shook his head and then hesitated "Ryan?"

"Leroy's just had a call" Ryan started to speak shakily, this alone scared me to death. It took alot to shake this man "Sarah Hendley has escaped from the secure institution she was being held at" Ryan's voice was weak "Apparently she had spoken to one of the other patients and told them you need to pay for her brother death"

"What?" My legs almost caved at the news, how could they let her escape after what she did? That pysco bitch kidnapped my daughter...

I felt Ryan's arms around me, catching me "Abi look at me, we have an advantage now. We know she is looking for you, we can step up security"

I couldn't form a thought, never mind speak. I noticed Ryan looked anxious "Abi" he said "Abs"

"Honey I promise we'll keep you safe" Leroy spoke again.

"Freya?" I managed.

"It's okay I've already told nick" Leroy replied.

"And Lillia" My response threw Ryan into rage, perhaps a little more than I expected.

"What about Lillia?" He snapped and I hesitated "That bitch comes near Lil and I'll break her fucking neck myself"

Ryan is quick to pull me close "That goes for you too, no one's getting near my family" he kissed the top of my head "I love you"

"I love you too" I manage. I can feel my heart pounding against Ryan's chest like a hammer...
