Akiza sadly walked away from the docks. She understood that Rydelle had to go so he could make money and live in his house, and buy his food, and to keep the ship running. Looking down, Akiza noticed cracks that she hadn't seen before. Curious, Akiza followed them down the street and around the corner. Seeing that the cracks now split, she looked up to find herself at the armada ship ports.
Three pirate ships were half a mile away from the ports and were firing. Many captains and soldiers had already pulled up the cannons and slingshot's from below deck. "Hit the deck!" A soldier yelled. A mass of flaming cannon balls flew through the air, but only a third of them hit the ships. Akiza looked in boredom as a fleet of five ships drove the pirates out of the bay.
She sighed and continued walking. Heading back the way she came, Akiza wanted to go nowhere but home. As she walked, many vendors and professors had stopped her to sell goods or ask questions. She quickly answered or obliged to buy, so by the time she was almost home, it was getting dark.
Opening the front door with a click, Akiza walked in and headed for her room. She quickly pulled off her clothing, tossing it into the floor. She tugged on her nightgown and crawled into bed, letting the sounds of the ocean drift her to sleep.
The next morning, Akiza got up and threw on the same clothes and walked out to run errands. Of course, that took all day so she put away her groceries as soon as he got home. Taking a second to pet her cat, she ran upstairs and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
