Darkness, just shadows and dark clouds. Akiza seemed to float in a dark abyss of nothingness and shattered dreams. Suddenly, a flash of light erupted and the darkness disappeared, leaving Akiza dazed and in shock. Gravity then took effect and Akiza was sent spiraling downwards into what seemed a light meadow.
On impact that should have killed her, Akiza was shocked that she seemed to be hovering an inch off the ground. She then was dropped and the mysterious drift seemed to dissapear. Standing up, she could see her surroundings more clearly, a willow tree and some tulips. Tiny rabbits chased after butterflies that seemed to be as big as Akiza's head.
Walking forward, Akiza could smell a sweet scent coming from the flowers. Closing her eyes, she felt so relaxed and unworried. It was as if there was nothing wrong with the world. Akiza took in a deeper sniff and smelled something she hadn't noticed before. Psilocybin mushrooms.
She had been trained to know all the scents of plants and what the effects are. She remembered that tulips don't have a scent that was so sweet. Thinking again, this smelled like a paralysis powder that she was an expert at creating. Someone was trying to poison her from the outside.
Strongly shutting her eyes, Akiza took in a breath and woke up. A male in a grey hood stood over her, holding a bottle. Swinging her arm, Akiza knocked it out of his hand. He turned on his heel and sped to her window, trying not to trip over Quicksilver, the cat. Akiza picked up her brush and threw it at him, hitting his left shoulder blade.
He quickly turned to curse at her, shouting "FUCK!" A flash of silver caught her eye, and Akiza ran up and grabbed his arm. Looking at his right breastplate, she saw the silver emblem of a crow holding a skull in its claws. Stunned, the man turned and smacked her cheek, causing her to loose her grip and for him to continue running.
He burst through the window and jumped on the rooftop of Akiza's neighbor. Quickly leaping, he disappeared upon the shingled roofs and into the night. Picking up the shattered bottle, Akiza slowly turned and walked over to her bed, bending over to sit. "The Circle," she wispered, her eyes wide with fear. "They've come for me," she stuttered. "They've come."
