Airplane Adventure (C.H)

Chapter 9

"Calum what are you planning to do here?" I whispered while letting him pulling my arms somewhere. Somehow being with him makes me feel safe.

"Hold on," he kept leading me to the front part of the airplane until it leads to a staircase near the cockpit. This is afterall an Airbus A380 where the airplane has two levels. We were in business class which is at the top part.

He finally came to a stop when he saw this big old curtain beside the staircase. He looked if anyone's inside and soon he popped out and dragged me in there.

When we both were in there we sat quietly making sure that the coast is clear. Honest speaking i dont know if my dad would be happy or mad about me going to random places in this airplane, but this was the first time i actually break out of his rules.

"Where are we?"

"Its a secret place I found when Mali and i was playing hide and seek lasst time."

"Calum,"

"Have you ever like someone so bad that you feel sad about it?"

"I do"

"Really?"

"Theres this boy at school everyone likes him but me im quite the opposite"

"Its okay i like you" he placed his hands on top of mine.

"And are you sad about it?"

"Never" he smiled reassuringly

"She was great. I still remember roaming around these places, walking around alone back then when i was older. But one day when i was to Malaysia for a holiday, she was in the same flight as me. She was the only person who would look up to me back then. No one ever did treated me like she did. She treated me as if im a hero. I was 11 back then and she was 8. I dont think it meant anything to her. But as i grew older i hope that our paths cross soon. Thats why im not dating anyone. I've been waiting for her. The actual person who made me into the person i am today. The only person who i would share my smiles and stories with. Im sorry for being rude to you all this while. This is how i do it you know, this is exactly how i treat other girls." Calum confessed. I for one was utterly speechless.

"Why did you walked away when you saw arz with luke tho?" I asked randomly.

"She was right. I do envy their relationship. I wish that girl is here with me right now. She's everything i could think of. It might be ridiculous to you listening that i've fallen hard for a 8 year old i met 11 years ago. But she made me who i am."

"What were you back then? Like how did she change you?"

"I wasnt a nobody in a school. I was quite okay considering i was in the football team. But that was it. I was nothing much. I wasnt the best player. Everyone knows me but they arent the type to be there for me when i need them. But then when i met her tho. She was scared, and one little act that i did made her fully gave her trust on me. At the end of the flight something happened. And i told her that i will find her again one day. After that i tried doing everything. I decided to change my life, start to do what ive told her i would. The things ive promised i would do. I became a footballer. Eventhough that didnt turn out so well im still here travelling the world with my 4 best lads. And i promised her that i will always do good and remember her." He said while looking at his fingers that was entertwined with each other. I didnt say anything because i dont really know what to say.

"Im sorry this happens so often. Whenever im boarding this exact plane i would sit here, alone usually, and just remember all the good memories we had. Its hard. I've tried to forget her. I gave up finding her. But as soon as i entered this airplane, it takes me back to the old days. And i became weak. This is the place where my life actually started."

He paused for awhile.

"Do you still remember her name?" I asked.

"Mare. her name was mare" he smiled at me.
