Harry's Pov
What was I thinking? Why would I even try to help Louis. He would have to fend for himself. Like I do everyday. The more and more I thought of him, the more I wanted to know about him. That's all I wanted to do. The class period dragged on. The bell rung and I headed to my next class. I saw Louis in the hallway. Both of us took small glances at each other before I walked on ahead. As soon as our eyes locked, I felt captivated into his. Looking into those eyes, I saw so much happiness, peacefulness, and tranquility. Something I never seen in so long. The rest of the school day went on and after the last bell went off, I headed out of the building. The new kid Louis was interesting. That was pretty much all I could say. I'm not the person to judge someone on what they looked like on the outside. Once you get to know another person on the inside, you'll then know who they truly are. Checking the time on my watch, I saw it was 3:15. My shift at the bakery started in only thirty minutes. I practically had to run the whole rest of the way. "Well good evening Harry. Ready to work?" The aged lady said to me. She was my manager. Her name was Jane. She was always here now. Every since her husband died about a year ago. She was very kind and sweet hearted. I felt lucky she was my manager, because I know no other manager would let me slide with being late so many times like she did. "Good evening Jane. I'll be as ready as I can." I went in the back to take off my backpack and jacket. My shift started in only a few seconds. I put on my apron. Walking out the back, I saw we barely had any customers. It was like that every day. Now and then the bakery would get pretty filled, but never to it's capacity. "Hi, um, can I get one glazed donut with a hot chocolate. Whip cream on top please?" That voice, it sounded so familiar. The soft, gentle tone, I remembered it from somewhere. Putting my head up and glancing over, I saw it was Louis. Oh god, I hope he didn't see me. "Harry, is that you?" Louis said looking over to me. "You too know each other?" My manager Jane said. "Yeah, he goes to my school. He's a new student." "Excuse me Jane, but is it okay I talk to Harry for a minute?" Jane nodded in agreement. She gave me this look. Like a 'go after him' look. I sat down with Louis at a small table. "So how come you rushed off so fast after first class?" I knew he would ask this. "I don't know, I just- he cut me off. "Is it because of that guy calling you a fag?" "Yeah, it kinda is. That and I wasn't really having a well night of sleep either. Your a nice guy and all to talk to, but I have to get back to work." "Do you want my phone number than?" My eyes popped up. He wanted me to take his phone number? "We only met today and you want my number?" "Yeah, why not? And your cute too, so that makes it even better." Louis took a pen and wrote his number down on a napkin. "Text me whenever you get time." Louis got up after finishing his donut and hot chocolate. "See you later Harry." He said waving at me with his perfect white teeth. I waved back and went back over to my working position. "So who's he?" Jane asked me. "This guy I met today." "He seems like a good gentlemen. Don't let this one get away." Jane was right. I didn't want Louis to leave. I had to know more about him. The anticipation was killing me.
