I wake up to the sound of pounding and the smell of smoke. I walk down, and halfway down, I hear someone yell, "open up, it's the army!" I gasp and yell , "just a moment!" I race up stairs and grab my mothers memory chip and place it carefully under my pillow. I race back down again and pause to catch my breath and put on a clam face. I open the door the three towering men. "I am L320. Please step aside so we can collect H934's memory chip. It contains important information about the army and our weaknesses." He steps forward and I step back. "Um.. I can't let you do that. "I say with false pride and hope. "the general told me to keep it secure." I lie. "I am the general." He blatantly states. I step back and up the stairs a little as he tried to step past. "W-well it was the last general that told me. The one before you..." I was loosing hope and confidence. "I am a robot as your self. I have always been general. Now step aside before I use force." He said, gritting his teeth. I stood my ground. He signaled his men, and one pushed me over and stepped on my back so I couldn't get up. Helpless and struggling, I looked hopelessly as he went up to my room. I started crying. I didn't even know I could do this, but here I am. Crying tears. Real tears. How curious. I snapped back as the general was coming out of my room, clutching the chip. I yelled and then herd a noise. I looked over and saw the boy. He was panting and sweating. "Hey! Get out of here! You can't be in here its private property!!" "I am the general!" The man said, infuriated. "I don't care if your my own father! Get. Out." He glared at the general sternly. The general tossed him the chip and walked over. He did a little signal and the other man let me go. I gasped for air, realizing I had been holding my breath the whole time. He rushed over to me, helping me up and scanning me for injury. "I'll be back" the general stated, sneering at us as they left. After they were out of sight, I relaxed and looked at Thomas, both of us were out of breath, but I managed to say, "I...I cried....why..." He laughed a little. "You really are full of surprises, aren't you. *sigh* I don't know why you cried, but I sure ain't happy about it." He said, looking away. "Why?" I looked at him and he blushed. "No reason...!" He huffed. I smiled and giggled a little. He looked over and smiled. We shared this moment for a while, before he remembered he needed to work. We still kept this time together quiet, but we enjoyed each other's company. After he left for the day, I smelled something curious. Like a kind of smoke. I looked outside but could only see smog. I was scared. I headed to the door and froze up. I tried to move, but couldn't. I felt dizzy and sick. I knelt down, coughing. I was even more scared now. I had no idea what to--t-t-t-t-t-t-ooooooooooo------
