Chapter 10: Everything Is Fine...Except

(Kalia's Pov)

Another month passed going back and forth fighting with the wolves. The wolves coming out with the overall win, we did only loose a handful of people. In a couple months Caleb was going  to start  college to become a lawyer.  Kyle and I both filled for residency at the hospital in our professions. I would spend several months being hands on in the O.R. and in the E.R.

Through the last couple of weeks we've been doing rotations all over the hospital to see what we would major in, this was the last week to decide and the two week notice for filing for residency at any hospital in California. Kyle and I would stay at Hope Valley, and another one of the students, Monica decided to major in radiology.

Kyle and I's three year anniversary was coming up soon, August 23rd and Kyle surprised me this morning with a weekend stay at Paris.

"Kyle is so sweet.." I said the one of my small group of friends in med school.

"I heard my name." Kyle said wrapping his arm around my waist.

"Kyle seems exceptionally happy today..." Roman said as I was handed a scalpel.

"Uh yeah," I said looking up at anTV screen that showed a larger image of what we where working with.

"He surprised me this morning with a three-day trip to Paris."

"And?"

"Do you really want me to go into detail about what happened next?"

"Nevermind then, that answers my question." I laugh.

"Did you know about it?" I asked, as a nurse finished disinfecting the area.

"Nope. Okay your going to make a cut about one to two inches in length, cutting through skin and the fat." He said and I did as I was told.

"Are you lying?" I ask as I started my way to the boy's abdomen. "About Paris?"

"He asked me if he could, I said why not. You work hard around here and I thought Kalia always wanted to go to Paris, so I told him yes."

"Well thank you."

"You deserve it, you deserve to be happy." I looked up at him weirdly before he talked to a nurse.

He knows I'm happy..so why did he say that? There was more to this story.

After surgery I found Kyle standing outside the Nursery talking to a proud looking teen father. He smiled and grabbed my hand, leading me down the hall he just smiled at the people who passed having no clue where we where going. I looked at a room and put a clipboard in the black hanging tub before pulling me inside. He let the blinds down and kissed me hungrily. He gripped my waist pinning me against the door and I moved my hands to his shirt and pulled it off he pulled away and pulled his short and I did as well dropping it onto the floor. And flitted pushing him against the furthest wall and he flipped us and roughly pushed me against the wall. I ripped his tank and rank my hands down his stomach and up around his neck. His hands gripped my thighs and I gripped his neck as he picked me up. He laid me down onto the hospital bed, but I sat up ad straddled him. His lips connected with the skin on my neck and I let him control me once again. He moved his hands over my thighs and continue with neck kisses. He knew what to do and what to say to get me going, to get me pleading.

I let out a moan rolling my hips into his as he laid me back down pinning my hands above my head and he looked at me and I smiled. I couldn't refrain from kissing him, placing my lips hard on his. He seemed taken back at my roughness and moved his hands down my body before pulling the string from my scrubs and pulling them down. He stood up and didn't waste no time taking off the rest of his clothes before hovering over me, and me falling behind on the mattress. His lips attached to my neck, gently nibbling, and sucking before moving to my chest, he ran his hands under me to unclasp my bra and throw it  to the side somewher in the room. His mouth was instantly exploring the previously covered skin.
