The next morning, I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside my window. I got up from my bed. I walk towards the window and pull away the curtains "Wow! It feels soooooo great!! Man, I love this feeling when you wake up and feel the morning sunshine, makes you wanna fly up to the sun ad hug it!"

I was about to go downstairs when Mom called "Rose! There's some boy here, named Luke Elric looking for you!" He's here!? But, it's so early! I got dressed as swiftly as humanly possible and went downstairs to go see Luke. But, when I was about to go down the last few steps, I accidentally overheard Mom and Luke's conversation. "Hello, Mrs. Dragmire. So, nice to meet you." he introduced himself. "It's pleasure to meet you as well." Mom politely greeted. The conversation was going well, when...

"Ah, Honey. Who is this boy?" Dad joined into the conversation. "Oh, hello! I'm Luke Elric, a friend of Rose." Wow! I never knew that Luke is so polite! It's so off from his personality. "So, how do you met my daughter ? Do you have any 'intentions' with MY Rose??" He started to 'over react' to things again. I had to put a stop to this. So, I stop hiding and approach them. "Hey, Luke! What's up?" I tried to pretend I DID NOT heard anything. "Oh, Rose. I was just having a nice conversation with your friend here." He put up a fake smile. yeah, right!? You were interrogating him! "Um... Hey, Rose!" Luke said with an uncomfortable smile. "Okay Dad, you can leave us now." I said. Then, he unhappily went back to his seat. "Well, I going to prepare some snacks. Do you want some?" Mom said. "No thank you, Mrs. Dragmire. I'm just here to show Rose something." Luke said. He wants me to see something? What? "Okay then, just come back before 6pm, okay?" She said and we went out the door.

"So, where are we going?" I asked. We stopped walking and he turns around, then he offers his hand. "You just come with me and see for yourself." He said, smiling. I took his hand and in a flash we were running to who-knows-where. I saw were blurry pigments and rays of light at the corner of my eye, at least that's what I saw. But, I could only focus my vision on Luke. As we run, I can't help but wonder where are we going? What was that 'thing' he wanted to show me? I was confused and tired.

Then we came to a stop at small dark tunnel made of trees, that can only fit one of us, one at a time. "Luke? Where are we?" I asked. "Don't worry, we're almost there." He said, and went in the tunnel. I curiously looked in. "Come on, Rose!" Luke yelled within the tunnel. "Okay!' I responded. Then, I hesitantly went in. I followed Luke from a far until we reached the end. "Okay, It's just at the end of this tunnel." Then, he disappeared within the light. I followed him in to the light.

"There!" I heard Luke yelled. I was blinded by the light. After four seconds of being blinded, I finally adjusted my vision. I looked at Luke, who was happily point at something. I looked at what he was pointing at, and I was surprised to see a beautiful flower covered meadow with a large tree in center.

It's beautiful! I never saw such a wonderful site like this in my life. It was the middle of spring and that means the flowers here are newly bloomed. It was a grand. "Luke! It's beautiful!" I said. "That's just half of it! Come on!" He then start walk towards the tree and I merrily followed. We walk through the flowerbed and butterflies came fluttering all around. "Watch your step." Luke said and leap over the little stream and I leaped over as well. Then, we stopped in front of the grand tree. "WOW!!" I awed. "I know, right? My Mom planted this giant tree when she was my age, and took care of it ever since." Luke explained. Luke's Mom must be very kind. Now that I mentioned it, I never did see Luke's Mom last time.

"I never did see your Mom yesterday? Is she sick?" I asked; laying on the soft grass and leaning against the tree. Luke was sitting right beside me when I glanced at him. He was looking down with his hair covering his eyes, but I could see he doesn't want to talk about it. "I-If you don't want to talk about it it's okay. I understand." I said, not meaning any offense. "Thank you, but I do want to talk about. Besides, it's the best way to get over it." Then, I realize, what I just started. But, it was too late to stop it now.

"M-My Mom died when I was just 8 years old. The cause of my Mom's sudden death was a trying to save someone from falling off the cliff. She died trying to save me from falling. I-It was all my fault!!" Luke started to silently cry. "And when the day of her funeral arrived, I-I couldn't shed a single tear. Like I don't care about my own mother! I'm so heartless!" I felt pity for the guy. Losing his Mom, who died saving him from death, it must be tough. I move closer to him and give a reassuring hug. "It's not your fault. If your Mom were here, she would say 'Luke, don't cry, it's not your fault.' right?" I said.

"Besides..." I stood up; face him and said. "If you're heartless and an awful son to your Mom. You wouldn't been taking such great care of the flowers and plants that your Mom planted herself. To me, that isn't a heartless boy, but a caring and loving son." I genuinely smile at him. He looked up at me and wipe away the tears that stained his face. "Yeah! You're right!" He grinned. I extended my hand to him. "Let's forget about what happened in the past, and have fun in the present!" I said. He took my hand and stood up.

For the time we spent in our little secret place. We played, we laughed and we explored; we saw all sorts of insects and animals that passed by. I never felt more at peace in my life than I did sitting against that tree trunk, besides Luke. The atmosphere was perfect, it felt like, I was in heaven.

When the sun started to set, me and Luke were in front of the tree. "Well... It's time to go. And leave this place." I said; frowning. "Yeah, but you're always welcome to come back whenever you like, Rose!" He said to make me feel better. "Thanks." I said. "Let's meet here tomorrow at 12pm, kay?" Luke gives me his signature smile. I nodded. We both came out the way we came from and went home. I turn around and yelled to Luke. "What are we gonna do tomorrow?!" He turn around and said "I don't know. We'll just wait and see, what adventure we're having tomorrow" Before turned around and went home. I did the same.

When I was home, I told Mom and Dad everything what happened today. But I didn't tell them about the place me and Luke were at.After I was finished telling them my adventure today, I got sleepy, said goodnight to Mom and Dad, went to bed and sleep. I hope tomorrow will be the same as today...
