Five weeks have passed and summer is just around the corner. Me and Luke became the most closest of friends in the entire town. I got up a strange feeling of happiness. Why am I incredibly happy today? And it's a Monday? I hate Mondays! I took a bath, got dressed and went downstairs. I went to the kitchen with a surprise. There on the table was my favorite blueberry waffles with whipped cream and a candle on top. "Um, Mom? What's with my favorite blueberry waffles doing on the table? You only made those on my...." Then I realized. "IT'S MY 15th BIRTHDAY!!!" I practically yelled. My parents laugh at me in amusement and greeted me happy birthday. I sat down at ate my waffles.

"Are you excited? We have a big day planned for you" Mom said smiling besides me. I nodded as I finished my last bite of my waffles. "*Gulp!* Yeah! I'm so excited! What are we gonna do, today?" I barely contain my excitement. "Oh. Before that. I want you to spend the extra time with..." Then, the door to closet opened and came out, Luke. "Happy Birthday, Rose!" Luke said while holding a gift. "Luke! When did you get here?!" Of course I was surprise. Luke scratched his cheek. "Well, your parents called earlier to explain the party plans." "That's right! I told him to take you somewhere and have while we prepare the party." Dad swings his arm around Luke's shoulder and they both laugh out loud. Aww~~ They're friends.

"Oh! I forgot! Here. This is for you! Hope you like it!" Then he gave me the small gift he was holding earlier. "What's inside?" I asked. "Just open it! And see for yourself." He then gave me a thumbs up pose. I slowly untie the cute red bow that surrounds the box, and I opened it. Inside was a cute lime green four-leafed clover necklace. It's so beautiful! "Oh, Luke! It's gorgeous! This is the most wonderful birthday present of all! Thank you!" I said with glee. "You're welcome! Here. Let me help you put it on." I gave him my necklace and puts it around my neck.

I went to a nearby mirror and admire the sparkling clover. "I knew it would suit you!" I looked over to Luke's reflection in the mirror, and saw him smiling. I smiled back at him. "Oh, dear! Look at the time! Me and your Father must get ready for the party. Meanwhile, the both of you, stay away from the house until 7pm, Okay?" Mom said. "Kay, Mom!" Then we went out.

As we were about to walk out the gate, I stopped. "So, what now? Got any plans, party-planner?" I asked. "Of course! You thought, I don't have any plans, do you?" He said. I stood there in silence. He's really my best friend. He knew everything! "How disgraceful!" He then drops down to his knees and began to sulk. "Hey, I'm sorry! Come, get up! Let's not spend the whole day standing here." I tried to cheer him up.

After, what felt like half an hour, Luke sprang up. "Oh, I forgot! It's your birthday! Come, now! My surprise starts at the nearby café. And I promise, I'll cast a magic spell on you" Luke then marched on to the café, leaving me behind. "Hey! wait up, Luke!" I ran after him.

After a while we arrived at the Cat's Eye café. "OK, Rose this is where we get your second present!" Luke proclaimed. "So, what my second present? And there's a second one?" I asked. "Because, I want you to have the best time ever!!!" "That's not the answer that I was hoping for. But, who cares?" Luke then walked in the café, without answering my first question. I then followed him inside.

We walked in, and Laney (the daughter of the owner of the cafe and she work here as well) walks up to us and greeted. "Hello, Luke, hello, Rose! Did you come for the 'package', Luke?" Luke gives a thumbs-up. "Yeah! It's Rose's birthday today, that's why I ordered it" She nodded. "Okay! Please, sit down, while I'll go get the package." She then went away and we sat down at a table near the window.

"So, now can you tell me, what's the package?" I started to asked, impatiently. "Just wait for a while, kay?" He tilled his head and smiled. I just crossed my arms and pout away from the sight him smiling. "Hello Rose, Luke!" Then Howard (the owner of the café) walks up and greeted us too. "Hello!" We both said in sync. "Laney told me it's your birthday today, am I right, Rose?" Howard asked, I simply nodded to say 'yes' with a smile. "Oh! Then, Happy Birthday! Here, it's on the house!!" Howard gave us two huge ice cream Sundays. "Wow! Are these, for us?? Really??" Luke questioned in disbelief. "Yes, it's to celebrate Rose's birthday! Well, enjoy!" He then walks away, and we started eating ice cream Sundays.

After we're finished, Laney gives us the 'package' and we left the café. "So, where are we going next?" I asked. Luke was holding the 'package' right beside me. "Next, is the Flower shop." He said. Before I knew it, we were already at Buds and Sprouts Flower Shop.

"Hey, Luke! what's up!" Kyle (Florist and best "bro" of Luke.) "Great! Hey, is the bouquet ready?" Luke asked. "Yeah! Hold on a sec." Kyle reached down and revealed a bouquet of only irises. Wow! How did Luke found out that I love irises? "So, it's your birthday, right Rose?" Kyle asked me, I once again nodded. "I see... So, this fifteen-iris bouquet is a gift for you then." he hands me the bouquet and I sniff it. Ah~~ Smells nice~~ "Well, I know you guys have plans for today, so goodbye and happy birthday!" We waved goodbye and went to the next destination.

After a while, the sky was now a beautiful reddish-orange. And, we've got every present that Luke prepared. "Okay, now we'll go to our secret place." Luke said. I got this feeling that I never expected to feel before. I glanced over at Luke, then I slightly blushed. What is happening to me? Why am I blushing? "Okay, Rose. Let me go first then follow me." Luke snapped me out of the thoughts and went in the tunnel. I then followed him in. As we were about to exit, Luke turned around and said "Now, close your eyes and no peeking." I did what Luke told me and he guided me to the center of the meadow, where the tree was.

Luke lets go of my hand and heard, what sounds like lights being turned on. "Luke what's going on?" I asked. "Don't worry, it'll be fine. Okay, open your eyes." I opened my eyes and looked up at the tree. There were colorful bright lights that surround the branches like fireflies. It was sundown, making that tree look more impressive then it were. "So, did I casted the right spell on you?" Luke asked. "You did more than casted a spell, you made this tree this magical!" "I glad you like it. Come let's eat." Luke pointed at a table with chairs and the bouquet of irises in a vase.

Before we could go and sit down, I asked Luke. "I-Is this a date?" Luke looked at me for a while before answering "Well, if you think is a date. Then it is a date." Both me and Luke slightly blushed and went to the table where we're going to eat. We spend hours talking, laughing and sharing stories. I felt even more closer to him than ever before.

This is the most magical birthday I had. I get tospend my birthday with the boy who understands me... My best friend, Luke...
