"What ever happened to Ludwig?" Austria asked Hungary one day.
"That bastard France killed him a while back," she replied.
"Who are we talking about?" Italy asked.
"Ludwig, the Holy Roman Empire," Austria explained. Italy got this look on his face.
"What was his last name?" he asked slowly. Austria and Hungary were a little worried now. It wasn't like Italy to be this still ever.
"Beilschmidt I think," Austria replied. Italy sobbed.
"What?!" Hungary asked alarmed. Italy looked up beaming through tears.
"That's Germany's name!" he cried. Austria and Hungary looked like they'd just been pole-axed.
