Too many men. Too many women.

Then there was the fog that she couldn't get rid of. She could hear the guitar being played far, far away. She knew she had heard the song somewhere. But where?

And the voice, she knew the voice. A song. She tried hard to listen to what the singer was saying. It sounded so heartbreakingly sad that she didn't want to listen anymore.

It was him. He was groaning in pain and saying the same thing over and over again. However, she still couldn't make out the words. Also, she could not move. Looking around, she wanted to get the hell out of there. But she couldn't see anything.

She couldn't move, see or hear properly. An immediate feeling of absolute dread washed over her. Where was he? Why wasn't he coming to get her? And why was she here in the first place? Most importantly, where the fuck was she?

Her nostrils caught the strong alcohol odor instantly. She smelled of alcohol, it was all over her – even in her hair. Her body began to tremble and she couldn't help but feel frightened. Wherever in the world she was, it wasn't good. Breathing shakily, she mustered some strength and yelled on top of her lungs.

"AXL! AXL! HELP! ANYONE?" She began to sob brokenly as she uttered the words. Hot and salty liquid tears spread all over her face. She could taste them in her mouth.

She jolted hard, trying to free herself but whatever it was that was holding her in place was tight – way too tight for her to actually to be able get out of it. It was absolutely the most terrifying feeling in the entire world.

She felt claustrophobic. She wanted to die.

Shutting her eyes tightly, she decided to focus on all things good. She wanted to be able to breathe, even if it was for a moment. She knew that if she were to die, she wanted to have some glimpses of the good that was in her life, even when there wasn't too much of it. With her eyes wide shut, she walked down memory lane.

She remembered her parents tickling her mercilessly.

She remembered their laughter.

She remembered ruining her mother's perfect dress by splattering cake over it and her mother's gentle hug and sweet kisses afterwards.

She remembered Aunt Anne applauding her when she painted for the first time – A lovely painting of a little girl staring up at the sky during the time of dawn.

She remembered the smell of wet paint in her home.

She remembered Axl's beautiful red hair and his smooth hands roaming all over her body – in areas that made her blush always.

She remembered him swinging her around.

She remembered his soothing voice and her ever-growing love for him.

She stopped and realized what she hadn't all along until now. She was in love with him. The realization made her cry. I love him. I have always loved him. Great, and now I'm going to die.

She cried harder. She couldn't break free no matter how hard she tried. This is it then....

Val woke up with her heart pounding insanely.

She immediately looked around in order to know where she was. She surely wasn't in her room because even in the dim light she could see that it wasn't her house. Panic rose in her throat and she instantly threw the covers off of herself in order to get out of there.
