She stood in front of her car, her books held tight against her as she texted on her phone. Smiling, she giggled to herself. She had chocolate brown hair and big brown eyes like you’ve never seen before. Her lips were in the most perfect shape, which pulled up in a smile and she wore light make up. She wore a red flannel top and denim jeans, along with vans. Okay, in summary, she was absolutely beautiful to say the least.

‘Alicia! Heyyyy!!’ said a girl as she skipped to her and hugged her tight. Alicia… nice name.

‘Oh my god Caitlin you scared me to death!’ Alicia exclaimed, holding a hand to her chest, almost dropping her phone. I laughed to myself at the sight of her. They talked for some time, but I completely zoned out because all I could do was notice how beautiful she was and how good would it be to feel her lips on my… wait, what the hell am I thinking?!

‘I think we should head to class Alicia. We don’t want another one of your stunts you pulled in school to go down, if you know what I mean.’ Caitlin said, elbowing Alicia as they started to walk towards us.

‘Oh my god, for the millionth time, DROP IT!’ Alicia said, laughing.

‘Sir please let us in, I swear we didn’t mean to be late, our tire was flat, waaaa!’ Caitlin mocked her, then laughed her head off. Alicia pushed Caitlin to the side, laughing and tucked her bangs behind her ear, and then, locked her eyes with mine.

I don’t know how they describe this moment but it felt like a trillion butterflies erupted inside of my stomach when she looked at me, and normally I do look away, but this time I didn’t. We held each other’s gaze, her big dough eyes radiating warmth and happiness to mine to a point where I could almost feel it, and just when I was about to give up, she gave me a small smile, and then our eyes looked away together. It was almost in slow motion.

I felt so dizzy, I could actually feel my heart ready to fall out of my chest, my head was burning and I was sure my face and ears were red because of the blushing. I’m pretty sure that’s what they call adrenaline. This was just plain weird cause this was all new to me. I breathed in deeply as I watched her back walking towards campus.

‘So, what do you say Lil Nath?’ said Jay.

I looked at him, clueless of the fact that he had been talking to me for the past…I don’t know how long.

‘Why the hell are you red as a tomato?’ Jay laughed. Okay, I’m a goner. Just then the bell rang, almost on cue. Praise the Lord! ‘Ah shit! We better get to class. We have Dan Rogers for History and word is if you’re late for his class, you’re never gonna see the sun again.’ Jay said. The three of us exchanged a look, grabbed our bags and legged it to class.

All three of us stood outside the class. Jennifer built up the courage to knock on the door.

‘Come in.’ Came a deep voice from the inside. Pretty sure it belonged to Mister Dan Rogers; just the name alone gave me shivers down my spine. Jennifer opened the door slowly, I saw the two front rows filled with students. Oh crap!

‘Are you three just gonna stand and stare from the door or are you coming in?’ he chuckled lightly.

‘Oh no…we just…’ Jennifer chuckled nervously as she walked in the class with Jay and I following close behind.

‘Take a seat please.’ Mister Rogers said gesturing towards the rest of the class. Jennifer nodded.

We took seats in the third row.

‘You guys are such cowards.’ She whispered, taking a seat.

‘Actually no, you just like bossing around.’ Jay whispered back and stuck his tongue out at her.
