Just came back from the first day at university.
If I had to sum up today in one word, the word would be ‘AMAZING’. I actually had a lot of fun today, even though I got a few weird stares from strangers and I heard a few people laugh at me during history but still it was a pretty good day. It was so much better than what I expected it to be.
One of the main reasons is Alicia. It’s funny how I call her ‘Alicia’ just like that, like I’ve known her forever. I amuse myself sometimes. But anyway, I’m not gonna go all cheesy and write every detail about her but she literally swept me off my feet.
Whoa! I used a big phrase there… (so cheesy)
But seriously, she was stunning. I feel so stupid writing about her cause she doesn’t even know me and vice versa. To be honest I feel like a twelve year old girl writing about her school crush but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with writing about your crush in your diary, I mean that’s what diary’s are for, right?
Anyway, I hope tomorrow’s as good as today or maybe even better than today.
Nathan.
‘Nathan, dinner’s ready!’ Mum called.
We still live with mum, I mean I have no other choice but Max did. Mum talked to him and told him that if he wanted to move out and live on his own, he could but he denied. He said he didn’t want to leave the both of us on our own. Max knows how to handle a situation for example with my anxiety attacks, he’s calmer, Mum is too but she gets too worried too quick. Plus we don’t have any uncles or whatever, it’s just Mum and her older sister, Aunt Rose, who still lives back in Gloucester by the way so Max is like the head of the family or something like that.
I closed my diary shut and shoved it under my bed. I stood up and went outside for dinner. Max was already at the table.
‘Weyheyy lookie here!’ he said cheerfully.
I just smiled a bit and took a seat at my usual spot. Max reached over the table and rubbed the top of my ear; it’s just one of his things. I say it’s an ‘ear fetish’ but he doesn’t agree with me.
‘How’s the boy?’ he said, sitting back in his seat.
‘Good.’ I said, taking a sip of water from the glass in front of me.
‘You should’ve seen him when he came back from uni.’ Mum smiled, holding the bowl of salad in her hands ‘He was beaming!’
‘He was now?’ Max asked. Mum nodded. ‘Had a good day then?’ he asked. I nodded my head. ‘Good! Tomorrow’s gonna be even better.’
‘I hope so.’ I muttered.
‘I know so!’ he said ‘Mum can you pass me the steak please?’
‘Here you go.’ She said passing him the steak.
‘By the way Nath, me and the boys were thinking we could go out tonight and celebrate you starting university, so you in?’ Max asked me.
‘Do we really have to?’ I asked almost mumbling.
‘Yea I think you deserve it.’ He said.
‘I’d agree with your brother here.’ Mum added ‘You do deserve it. You can take Jay and his girlfriend with you too.’
‘Exactly!’ Max added.
I made the ‘I don’t know’ face.
‘C’mon mate! Look mum’s encouraging you to go party, get drunk, get wasted. It’s not every day she allows that!’ he said.
