"Okay so he said to dress fancy but like, how fancy are we talking about?" Alice asked me as we walked through the mall like we were on a mission. Which we kind of were. It was a little after noon and Mason would be picking me up at eight o'clock. I have tons of time but not, at the same time. Girl problems.
"I'm not sure", I said, my eyes darting from store to store. "He just said fancy".
"Well, I guess there's no real place to start. So let's go into this store!" Rose said and quickly darted to the right.
This store was nice, really nice.
"Here", Rose said grabbing a light green, short dress. "Try this on".
Only about fifty dresses and ten stores later, I finally found a dress fancy enough for my evening with Mason. I couldn't call it a date because he has a girlfriend and I'm in the process of getting over him...cause that's going so well.
I quickly drove home and began getting ready for my dinner with Mason tonight. I did the whole girls routine. You know, shower, blow dry and straighten hair, paint my face with my many products of make up and carefully slip into my new dress.
I decided to buy a cute little black lace dress. It's not seductive or slutty. It's elegant and sweet. Totally normal dress for a totally normal evening...Oh boy.
I'm here. Did you need me to come to the door? Mason suddenly texted me. My head swung to my alarm clock. Sure shits its eighth o'clock already.
I practically ran for my earrings and my shoes before texting him back.
No that's fine, I'm just putting on my shoes. I quickly texted him. Not a total lie. I did need my shoes but really I just needed a couple minutes before I go and have dinner with a guy that I'm head over heels with...a guy who has a girlfriend.
Too late, I'm already at the door. I'll just talk with your brother.
Oh how wonderful.
I took one more look in the mirrior and hesitantly, headed down stairs. Mason was dressed in a black dress shirt with a black tie and black dress pants. He was dressed in a solid colour yet he seemed to glow just standing there in front of my door step.
Of course he actually was talking with my brother, my mom standing near the kitchen, pretending to wash the dishes but really she's listening to what Mason and Lucas were talking about. Which was most likely sports or whatever the male gender talks about.
Both of them stopped talking as I walked down the stairs and towards them to the front door.
"Well don't you look lovely", Mason said with that stupid smirk on his face and he actually bowed to me and held out his arm.
I took it without hesitation, surprisingly. "You don't look to bad yourself".
Who am I kidding, he looked hot as hell. Fully black suit, his short shaggy black hair was nicely combed and slicked back a bit and he just looked, well, freaking adorable.
