It was a lovely night in London and the people were still out in the early evening. A young married couple came out of the photography shop and started to head back home. They looked extremely happy and the woman hugged on to her husband's arm. Meanwhile, up on the top of a building a person with long red hair stood with the full moon behind him. "Ah, the passionate night of death!" he said. The couple continued to walk and dust flew behind them and then sparkled. The male figure smirked showing his razor teeth and his red librarian type glasses on his face. "Regret gives off the scent of flames!"

After the figure said his statement, the woman suddenly caught on fire. The couple gasped and then the woman screamed in tremendous pain. The fire was burning her quickly and she still screamed. "E-Ellen!" the man shouted and tried putting her out with his jacket, but it didn't falter. People were crowded around the scene and watched in horror as the woman was burnt alive. Some ladies hid their sight as they leaned their heads on their husbands' shoulders. The man still tried to put the flames out, but the flames then burned his jacket. The woman outstretched her burning hand and the man grabbed hold of it but it broke off. The man's hands were burnt and the hand turned to ash. "Ellen!" the man shook with sadness and then her whole body turned to ashes. The man crouched down and grieved over his wife's painful death.

The man on the building slid down on the pole and smiled over the death scene. "Oh yes," Grell said as he then stick his tongue out to the side and made the devil sign with his fingers, "Death in all its fiery finery!"

Sebastian served afternoon tea with gooseberry and elderflower jelly as Ciel's luncheon. Ciel was given a letter from Her Majesty and it was about the incident on London last night, how a woman was burned alive without warning or causes.  And there were other victims envolved in the same death. "Burned alive?" Sebastian asked with interest, "Yes, the rash crimes that has swept London.  I'm told there was another victim last night?" "Yes, Her Majesty is on edge with her subjects in fear each night." Ciel said drinking his tea. Sebastian then looked further into the letter and read, "I shall this matter in the hands of the 'dog' and the 'spider'. What might that mean?" Sebastian said looking down at Ciel.

Ciel had stopped drinking his tea and thought hard on this. "And who is this 'spider'?" Sebastian asked. "Who knows?" Ciel answered, "Or more precisely, I don't know," he set his teacup down and looked at Sebastian. "There's no use sitting here wondering. We dispel Her Majesty's worried. That's our first priority. We're setting out for London." "Of course" Sebastian replied. Ciel got up from his seat, "And don't let Madame Red get wind of what we're doing. This type of stuff is what she enjoys. I don't want her poking her nose in" Ciel said. Sebastian's eyes were in thought as they stared at the ground. Madame Red was dead for quite a while and the young master wasn't aware of it, or perhaps didn't remember. Sebastian smirked, "I don't believe we'll have any trouble there."

"As well as I don't like this situation, it will be better if Mystery tags along. I don't like the fact bringing my sister into danger, but I have to admit she has been getting more interesting," Ciel said. Thing was, Mystery had helped a bit in some of the cases Ciel was trying to solve. Mystery was smart and Ciel could sense she has... changed in a way, but he didn't pay any attention to it. Sebastian smiled and bowed his head, "Certainly, my Lord."

Ciel, Sebastian, and Mystery made it to the crime scene and the area was crowded with policemen and investigators. Arthur, the head of the police and as commissioner, was looking over the burnt spot on the pavement. "Having some trouble, Sir Arthur?" Ciel asked and Arthur looked at him surprised. "Ciel Phantomhive!" Arthur said. Ciel walked a few feet over to them and discussed this case with him. Turns out there weren't any records left from the previous cases. Arthur had told Ciel that they would handle it and that he wasn't needed. And Ciel only smirked and scoffed at him.
