The next day at school, Emma stayed away from Zelena. She didn't want to deal with her. It wasn't that she was afraid, she just wasn't in the mood. Killian stayed with her and walked with her to each class. He waited for her at her locker and helped carry her books. She figured that he was just trying to show her that he liked her, but she didn't want to tell him that she knew he wasn't messing with her. She hadn't told anyone about the date she was going to have with Killian. She wanted to wait until she knew how she felt before she started telling people about her relationship with him.

She was writing down notes for English when she felt someone kick her chair. She smiled and turned around. Killian was chewing his gum and drawing with a hint of a smirk on his face. She rolled her eyes and went back to her own paper. English was her last class of the day, and she couldn't wait to go back to her new living space. She didn't want to call it home, because she had no idea what home actually felt like. She had no one that actually loved her. One part of her told her that she should run. That she should get away before she was too deep. But the other part told her that she should stick around to see where this would all go. That she would be able to feel loved here. The bell rang and she stuffed her folder into her bag and waited for Killian to get done. He was still seated, putting the finishing touches on his artwork.

"Hey, I don't know about you, but I want to go." She nudged his shoulder.

"Wait, I have to get this done."

"Get it done back in your room."

He glanced up at her and then back to his paper. She turned her head and gasped. It was her. He was drawing her. Killian moved his hands and looked up at her and bit his lip. "What do you think?" He asked.

She grabbed the paper. "Killian, it's amazing!"

He shrugged. "Drawing kind of runs in the family."

"So how do you get your talent of music?"

He stood up and swung his bag over his shoulder. "It's my own."

She folded the picture up and put it in her pocket. "I'm keeping this."

"No." He slipped his hand into her pocket and grabbed the paper. "I want to make you a better one. One with both of us in it."

She sighed dramatically. "Only if you want to," Emma giggled and patted his back.

They got out into the hallway and walked until Killian stopped in front of the bathroom. "I'll be right out." She nodded and leaned against the wall. Suddenly, Emma felt something cold and wet hit her clothes. She looked up and Zelena had a plastic cup in her hand. The liquid had to be beer because of the smell.

"Oops?" Zelena said and sprinted towards the exit.

Emma dropped her bag and ran to the girl's restroom, and splashed water onto a paper towel to try to get the beer out of her shirt. She didn't even think of Killian until he called her name, frantically looking for her.

"I'm in the bathroom!" She hollered. The door opened and she met his eyes through the mirror. "Zelena poured fucking beer on me." She threw the paper towel into the sink. "Liam's gonna kill me."

"No he won't. Why don't you have faith in him?"

"They will be like the rest. If I screw up, they send me back."

Killian shook his head and grabbed the paper towel from the sink. He grabbed her shirt and began dabbing her shirt. "I told you that you don't have to worry about that. We'll explain to him what happened, and it will be okay. You can take a shower in my room, and then we will do our homework." Emma sighed but nodded. He threw the paper towel into the garbage and led her out to his car. Her nerves ate her with every mile that they got closer to the house. Sensing her fear, he reached over and grabbed her hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "We'll be okay," he said.

"We?"

"You aren't alone."

Once they got back to the house, he helped her out of the car and into the house. She hoped that they wouldn't run into Liam or Elsa, but they were both waiting for Killian and Emma to get home. As soon as she walked through the door, she saw Elsa's nose scrunch up. She ran to Emma and put her hands on her shoulders. "What happened?" She asked with concern.

"Some girl spilled beer all over me in the hallways before I left the school," Emma explained. Her hand still latched to Killian's tightly.

"Please go upstairs and get cleaned up while I call the school," Liam said taking his phone from his pocket.

Killian took her upstairs and she grabbed some clothes from her duffel bag in her room. He waited for her in the doorway. She turned around and jumped when she saw him still standing there.

"Do you want to shower in my room?" He asked. "You'll get privacy. I'll wait for you in my room and then I'll play you a song."

"But I haven't read anything to you yet."

"Our agreement was that I'll write you your own song. There was nothing said about playing you songs that I already know."

"I guess you're right." Emma smirked as she followed him to his room.

He showed her the bathroom and she shut the door and leaned against it, not knowing that he was doing the same on the other side.
