Magcon Makeover

Chapter 17

I woke up and felt something on my bed either side of me.

As my eyes opened and started adjusting to the light I was able to see that it was Shawn and Jack G asleep on either side of me.

I slipped out from between them and went into the bathroom to have a shower.

I did all the things you do in a shower and then hopped out.

I peeked my head out the door to check that they were both still asleep.

Wrapping my towel tightly around my petite figure I stepped out the bathroom and went over to my suitcase.

I was probably there for a good 5 minutes deciding what to wear.

I finally decided on light blue ripped jean shorts and a baggy red with white stripes crop top.

I went over to the mirror and did my hair and makeup.

For hair I put it up in a messy bun with a red bandana that had white patterns on it.

For makeup I decided to go all out with foundation, contour, highlight, bronzer, false eyelashes, winged eyeliner and to finish it off I put on my matte red lipstick.

When I decided I looked good enough I went back over to my suitcase to grab my adidas superstars, mine were white with red stripes on the side.

I looked around for some paper and wrote a quick note to the boys saying that I was just popping down to Starbucks for breakfast.

I found my phone and changed its case to one with red glitter then grabbed some headphones and my penny board before walking out the door.

I plugged in my headphones and blasted 'pity party by Melanie Martinez' then I hopped on my board and started skating towards Starbucks.

I finally reached Starbucks and ordered my favourite, a cotton candy frappé.

Once I got my drink I put my headphones back on and jumped on my board and skated away once again.

I looked at the time, only 9am, still got a while till my first magcon I thought to myself.

I ended up skating around a bit more before skating down to the park.

I was pretty surprised to find it empty as it was a warm day today but that didn't bother me.

Sitting down on one of the swings I started thinking about what my first magcon would be like.

Would they like me? Will I get more hate? What should I do?

So many thoughts were running through my head that I didn't even notice someone sitting down on the swing next to me.

I looked out the corner of my eye and saw Jack G sitting there next to me, he also had a Starbucks in his hand.

We ended up just siting and getting to know each other for a while before we headed back to the hotel.

"Race you back to the hotel!" I shouted whilst jumping on my board and skating away.

Some would say I have an unfair advantage as I have a board and Jack doesn't but I mean damn, have you seen how quick that boy is?

Basically with how fast he can run he could easily beat me any day hence why I only told him about it when I was skating off.

I reached the hotel and sprinted up to my room unaware of where Jack was.

You see where I grew up here I know all the ins and outs of this town whereas Jack doesn't so he probably went a different way as I lost track of where he was.

A good 5 mins after I got back Jack strolled into the room.

"And where have you been Mr?" I asked curiously.

"Well I knew that I was going to lose so I decided to walk the rest of the way" Jack stated matter of factly.

"Ok sassy, when does magcon start?"

"Umm in 20 mins"

"Shit Jack we're meant to get there early!"

We sprinted out of the room and down the road to the venue where magcon was being held.

We ended up being ok for time and once we regained our breath we just set everything up until it was time to go on.

Because Mahogany wasn't here Bart introduced us instead.

He called out all of the boys names and as each one disappeared onto the stage the crowed roared with excitement.

"And last but not least, our new member......... BECKY GRIER!!!!" Bart announced accompanied by lots of screams.

I ran out onto the stage ready to face my first magcon.
