If you made it this far, congratulations! The poem you are about to read is a spoken word poem I wrote back then to perform in a contest. Due to the time limit, I was forced to perform only a half of this. This is the full version.

So, here it is. Enjoy!

Paragon

In this world where we are living
Where people aren't forgiving
Where perfection is everything
And you end up always trying

To be a Paragon; a model of perfection
A factor which we always knew is just some fiction
Is this a good decision? To hold on this delusion?
Or will this action cause our own destruction?

Why is being imperfect such a disgrace?
Why do people judge by color, religion and race?
Your appearance, your weight, your height and your face?
What is it that we chase?

To be a Paragon? A model of perfection?
To be deceived by the society's illusion? NO!

We should stop pulling others down to gain position
To be better than them; be the greatest creation

This is society's poison! And this is my mission:
Finding a solution to end this sick tradition

Because I'm sick of judgment, of attrition and hate
Of hate so great it ruins our values
Of morals, good and bad, which shall we choose?
Which shall we keep and which shall we lose?

Because nowadays, society dictate who you are
Who you should be, who to envy,
Who to obey and to keep at bay

But in the end, no one here's a Paragon
Because the only true model of perfection
Is the Supreme One who gives the right direction.

The one worthy of selection, of attention,
of affection and connection.

The true model of perfection: My Savior, My Paragon.
